thanks for the pics guys, looking very tidy i see everyone has made brackets rather than going through the radiator, this is what i'm going to do as well i just bought two 10in fans from a holden (i feel dirty ) off of ebay (see pics below). Going to make up the bracket hopefully next week and have them on in time for the nationals

I was like ok thats cause it was in 1st from when i put the gearbox back together. hopped in and it was in neutral!! Can't select any gears except 5th and revers! I have to take the box out and pull it apart again. There is no way it is going to be done by saturday as I have to wait for the gasket sealer to set once i have the box out, apart and cleaned up. I'm so effen angry!!!!! Such a rookie mistake, i put it in 1st and checked all the gears while it was apart, put the bellhousing on and didnt check it again, IDIOT. If i can wipe away the tears I might try and get the box back out tonight. oh also repco can't supply a stock/aftermarket replacement fan, they did have one listed for a 280c and he gave me the measurements so ill check out if they are interchangeable. Does anyone know anywhere else to get a replacement fan besides the states?

cool i was going to suggest a thread like this. i have been buying a heap of brake/clutch/gearbox parts lately so I will add these when i get a chance maybe people could post here and you update the first post, and have sections etc

was talking to steve last night and he said there were some delays with his car, I'm sure he'll keep us updated. at the worst he can come with me and possibly even drive my white 2+2 if he feels comfortable so i think another meet up in the next few weeks will also be in order so people like alan and mtopsecretx can make it. also around the middle of april the drive in will be screening the fast and the furious so maybe we could all go for a run to see that?

Hi all, I found I have had a small fuel leak that has been spraying onto my mechanical fan blades, now the blades flex quite a bit and makes an incredible noise at high revs. I wouldn't mind going with an electric fan setup. Searching the forums I found that 260Coupe recommended http://www.daviescraig.com.au/Thermatic_Fans-list.aspx in the following forum http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2190.0.html I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with davies craig setups and what they would/wouldn't recommend? (I''ll pm 260coupe aswell) The guide on the Davies Craig website recommends 2 12inch fans (part number 0062) and either the mechanical thermal switch (0401) or the electronic thermal switch (0402). Im thinking this might be all too expensive atm, but if I were to go down this route I would probably go for the chrome fans (0072) and the electronic switch (0402) adding up to about $744.38. I was just wondering what everyones opinion is? It's for my 240z which atm has a fairly stock engine and is only for street use but I am building a 3.1 litre stroker in the future. I don't mind investigating other brands but my only stipulation is that it must look tidy as this is for my hero car Failing all this, does anyone know where to get a stock replacement for the plastic fan blades? I'll try repco tomorrow.

haha sounds like a plan. doing the brakes on the white car 2moro and the gearbox on the yellow car on sunday so if everything goes to plan, we should go for a drive this week
