great read and it's good to hear that you are going back to webbers and the L26. In regards to the door panels, some guys on here recently bought brand new door cards for a 240z from nissan. You could try giving them a call but I'm not sure if they would have the 260 door trims. You do pay a bit from Nissan but at least they will be perfect. Looking forward to pictures!

garvice your car looks very tidy, you definitely should have entered nice photos as well have to go through the 2000 photos i took, ill make a new thread detailing the weekend and post more photos soon. excellent (except garvice, we'll catch up another time ) http://www.drive-intheatre.com.au/ the movie starts at 715, i just checked the website and they have switched them around so pink panther is first and then fast and the furious starts at 845. it will be around peak hour so steve and I were just talking and we are going to leave around 6ish from kanagroo point (my gf's house) but we can all meet there. Steve and I should get there before 7. We'll try and get a spot around the front 3rd towards the screen and in the middle. Like we have said before, if you don't have a zed come along anyway, it's just a social meet and bring some friends!

heya garvice, sorry i only jsut saw this message the 1st one has been photoshopped but only a little, mainly just darkened the edges a little. It was quite a cloudy day, good for photos. the 2nd one is a major photoshop but I didn't add any clouds are anything, just a bit of lighting, noise and colour.

garvice, i wouldn't let that stop you, there will be some nice zeds on display but there will also be some dogs it's not just about having a show car, im sure most people just appreciate seeing another zed

hey mtop, yeah why is that? Is it just because it's pulling more air? my white 260z has one big fan but the problem is that it only covers about 65% of the radiator as the radiator is a lot wider than it is high. I'm sure with a decent shroud this would be alright but without one its only cooling 2/3's of the radiator as they sit so close to them. i wouldn't think the airflow of two fans would be a problem? so long as they are both pulling air through it should all be heading in the same direction? all you need is air being pulled through as much of the radiator as possible and I would think you would get more surface area with 2 small fans. Correct me if I'm wrong though... the only downside I can think of is that 2 small fans might draw a bit more current than one bigger fan? i'm thinking about making a shroud eventually but it's not gonna get done in time for the nats. I also recall the aerodynamic tests on hybridZ that have the air all ducted to the radiator from the front of the car, better for cooling and aerodynamics. It's an interesting read for those that have access to it

haha so i scrubbed for a while but the dirt remains. ALthough I'm pretty sure these are jsut the cheap thermo fans that someone made up to go onto a holden so I think i can live with that. BUT I got them and they are actually gold not yellow. So I have pulled the motors out so I can paint them this weekend the same colour as the body Here is the bracket anyways.... We cut off one of the mounting tabs on the radiator when we installed a polished overflow bottle to the bolt hole on the top left is actually going through the radiator bracket :S

it seemed to be a consitent flow. slave is moving a bit, how hard should it be to manually push the lever for the throwout bearing with your hand? i imagine it should be quite hard but thought for a second that maybe the fork/bearing wasn't mopunted properly but im sure it is

I have just done the s14 gearbox conversion, had it back in for a week and worked fine excepet for an oil leak. Pulled it out, fixed it back up and put it back in. Now the clutch doesn't seem to engage properly. There is a little bit of soft travel in the pedal until about 3/4 in and if I stamp it on the floor i can get it into gear. I have bled the system about 4 times and it's still like this. Does anyone else know what could cause this? Only thing i can think is the master cylinder? But there are no leaks out of the master or slave cylinder. I think I'll take it into a shop soon...

haha yeah i use photoshop for a living That was a failry quick, messy edit. If I spent a few hours on it I could have made it look like it was actually real. Send em through and ill try and make some time

originally when I read that i cringed a little, well a lot really. then i saw the pic u posted and i was like oh that's not terrible. I think if done right it could be quite unique, but it has the potential to go very bad as well haha. I would like to see a white/gray style one like this photoshop...

ok sounds good. yar i had no money and just picked the gf up and went home. got the gearbox back in today, clutch issues now :S

i rang nissan for one a few weeks back, was something like $180-250 :S

im in ill drive the yellow car and maybe get a friend in the 260. any other takers? bring friends etc, im inviting some friends who dont own datsuns
