  1. off looks great if you weld up the holes and get them rechromed, this is what I'm doing to my project car. You have to do good welds though otherwise you can get pitting in the chrome. But if you're bumpers are straight and pretty (as yours look to be) they look good with the overriders as well. They actually complete the body lines of the car. I think either looks great, so you can't go wrong, but I'd leave yours as is
  2. haha acf you pm'd me instead
  3. hmmm i spot series one hatch vents and no vents on the 1/4 panels Shame about the roof though. Should be a fun daily drive
  4. i feel all warm and tingley
  5. I would maybe post all of these pics in the same thread, just keeps the place a bit tidier
  6. wow, I'm not usually a fan of different scoops etc but that does look very tidy. Feel free to post some more
  7. Welcome, good to see another 350 on here. They are getting a lot cheaper now with the 370z being released. I'll have the whole set one day Looking forward to pics
  8. oh I'm also doing a shoot in Maleny the first weekend in August. Maybe we could coordinate a drive but it will all depend on my timing with the shoot
  9. very nice work greg do you have times and comparisons with other cars and your other attempts etc? Would be interesting to see how the datto (and maybe the driver ) goes in comparison I'll have to come along to one but my weekends are pretty booked up atm, my photo shoots went well so I've got a fair bit of business coming in the next couple of months. Now do I save it for a house or put it in the zed?
  10. My dad is thinking about going to Melbourne to have a look at a Z. He's just trying to convince the ball & chain that another car is a good idea. I said he could use the z airport taxi service but then realised there are no Melbourne volunteers!
  11. Nice work Gav, only had a quick read cause I'm at work atm. You might have covered it in the content, but maybe a quick reference list for some of the good things to look for in the cars would also be useful? Things like round top su's, electric dizzy, rear discs, uncracked dash etc. I was just thinking some of the more common mods people do to the cars or hard to find/repalce bits. Although I suppose some "good" things are a bit subjective depending on what you are doing with the car. Anyway, just an idea
  12. ahhh man that sucks Yeah I haven't used the airport service yet, or had any requests since nato's. I was considering flying down south to see the flaming lips but I don't think I have the funds for it atm. But yeah offers still open
  13. check all your lines first, it's the easiest first step and it probably is your fuel lines. I had a crack in one of my fuel lines and you could actually see it spraying out form the hose when the car was revving. But if this isn't the problem, it could also be: 1. Floats in the carbies. Alan on here has a really bad problem with his carbs and has fuel pooling in his airfilter housing. We haven't fixed it yet but after watching z therapies SU Videos I think it is because the floats aren't set correctly, which lets extra fuel in. This then seeps out a hose into the air filter housing. To fix this correctly you have to readjust the float. You can remove the gasket on the fuel bowl which will let the fuel just drain out from there which might be slightly, but not much, safer then the fuel pooling above the exhaust manifold. This is assuming you have SU's and all the original piping etc on it 2. Unlikely but it could be the fuel filler neck. The plastic/rubber in these go hard over the years and crack. Quite common but you'd notice it more when you filled up not under acceleration like you said your problem was.
  14. Sorry Greg and zedback I think I might have to bail as well. I'm doing some photo shoots on Saturday and Sunday plus some urgent other work More money for the zed i suppose... I'll see how I go tomorrow, but I doubt I'll have the time to drive out
  15. Oh also, if you have the jpgs (or whatever image format the scanas are in) all numbered in order, I can make a pdf and compress it so it is smaller
  16. Hmm i missed all of these posts somehow. Are these the pdf's mentioned in this thread... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,4392.15.html ? If you have anything else you want hosted msg me and I can put it up and msg Gav to see if he wants it officially on the site
  17. Thanks for the pics, it's good to see some car shows from different areas. You tend to see the same cars in Aus and American shows
  18. haha at least gravel rally is a bit thoroughbred. Drag racing usually just ends up having a butchered shell with a heap of random other parts in it
  19. So everyone still keen for motokhana? I probably won't get there until the runs start at about 1030 maybe even a tiny bit later, Saturday is my sleep in day after not getting enough sleep all week
  20. Got my trim today $221.12 for one side and $202.63 for the other plus $30 for freight to Brisbane. Looks great I'll probably paint the backs over the weekend and hopefully install it within the week
  21. Yeah i remember some bloke called Steve, younger chap, preferred men I believe :S
  22. Reading over the post, I just wanted to reiterate, your forum conduct is and has been fine (in my opinion) and it's good having you around. This is just more of a debate over the ebay ad....
  23. I'm probably going to regret chiming in here but... Let me just state first that I do not have a problem with doudous on this forum. But I can understand what has made HS30-H post the way he has. The way that car was advertised is deceitful and against policy. To make a very broad comparison, imagine getting a catalog that said we have Sony Bravia LCD TV's for $200. You go into the shop and they say sorry we don't actually have any Bravia's here, we actually don't have any tv's here but we can order in these other LCD's if you want. I haven't actually lost out on anything but I feel like I just wasted some of my time and got really excited for nothing. Then I think the thing that topped it off was that doudous says that he isn't here to advertise anything and then in that post, attaches 4 pictures of cars that he can import (unless I've mistaken the relevance of these pictures?) Doudous, stick around. I wouldn't even mind if you posted a few cars that you can get a hold of here and there so long as the situation is explained fully. Just like others have said, the ebay ad doesn't sit well with a lot of people. You're an enthusiast and should be able to contribute to the forums. And I now know of another importer if I want stuff from Japan. I would rather import from someone here than some other random guy on the net. Edit: I have also noticed people referring to the ad on other forums and most people have passed it off as a scam due to the lack of photos, low price and zero feedback on ebay. So in this case it hasn;t worked as an advertisement for your business unfortunately.
  24. The costs aren't a lot, it's mainly just time. I have printed a few sheets of the logos I have posted, so there is no printing cost atm. If you wanted one I would say around $15? (without gearknob obviously). I have just gotten my hands on another isotta knob the same style as the tall thin polished one in the first picture. I can make it for someone with any logo you like for $90 or I may keep it and somone can buy the round style knob I posted for the same price.
  25. photos or it never happened
