  1. ah yes craig, he's the guy you put me onto for freshing up the diff, i was wondering why the name sounded familiar!
  2. i have lost the link to the guys site (those images might b linked to them though), but my understanding is there are a few cars in japan that look nearly exactly the same. it made me want a bonnet with vents, and i'm very tempted to go white, if only cream interiours didn't look so ugly against white... alan on classiczcars has got a few pictures of them in his gallery over there, and gav knows a bit, they are dam sexy thats for sure it did link to it, so figured i'd save you the effort http://zhp.satokikaku.com/ at one stage i remember reading that people hoped they weren't real 432's but can't remember the answer
  3. they are basically one and the same thing, its a pity there are so many of the 2 piece wheels around with such a high offset. at one stage i really wanted to get a pair of 17" ones and get the shells made up to suit like a guy in america did (you can't get them with a negative offset new), but i couldn't find anyone local who would make up the shells without seeing them first, so i gave up lol http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12945 has some info, and links to another thread with more info again
  4. y not just get a 240z like you really want to? i'm with lurch, i'm sure i've come across something that effectively says you can't go backwards year wise with engine swaps in 90's cars that 180sx would look nicer if the flares were actual zg flares
  5. yeah it's great info, I guess I must of been in primary school? Lol, so the tops are availble through nissan dealerships? Anywhere cheaper online?
  6. i was looking to buy one of these, even bought the boss kit for it but now i haven't got a need for a steering wheel in my zed! i reakon these nardi deep corn 350mm are the nicest old school looking wheel around, i'm not to crash hot on the red stitching but seems to be all anyone currently sells (found a place that had 1 with blue stitching :s) the OD of the 260z wheel is around 370mm from memory, i'm not sure if wheels are ment to be measured from the mean diameter or what, as the thickness of the wheel it would change it a bit...
  7. yeah it is, so thats awesome news for once! lol where's the best place to buy the parts from? (not that i'm in a rush, this wont be done for atleast a year...) i reakon this would be a good write up for another one of your helpful how-to's lurch, i've heard you just undo the bolts with the car up and rotate the strut out?
  8. does a similar thing work on a later 260z 2 seater? as the lowered king springs didn't do enough for my liking at the rear of my car either
  9. y not just look at the current feature car??? hehe
  10. that looks tough ash, specially the picture from the front! i like how you ran the FMIC piping through the fenders! one advantage of not having to register it i assume?!? or it didn't require that much cutting?
  11. Hey Sinisha, Could you please PM me Chris's contact details? As at some stage i should work on the diff mount in my car...Are you no longer running a diff mount under it? It also looks like you may of had some extra plates welded in around there to strengthen it up? My concern with it bolting directly to the sidewalls is putting the holes in the right position, i was hoping to get a braket made up that used some tube so the existing mounts from the strap could be used but then it would need to be fairly tightly toleranced and is a pain to measure the dimensions correctly! Out of curiosity, what rear brakes are you currently running? I was also wondering what size rims would be required to fit over the brakes? If these will fit under the 17" rims i have i might be interested in getting some of the adaptors made up too!
  12. i wouldn't mind having porsche visible between the spokes , but i have to admit there is something about it saying nissan

    My car at lorne

    its factory 1976 260z colour #240,
  14. yeah doesn't really look like its happening huh? pity the rear parking brake and dust seals never got fully resolved, but those corvette brakes look mighty fine can't wait to finish uni and have free time/money again... thanks for trying to organise it all anyway stef
  15. Ive bought one of the poly mounts with one of those brackets in mine due to the same problem, but haven't gotten around to it yet, $80 seems quite reasonable for a one off part that size and complexity, or does chris woods sell these parts a bit? Thanks for the price break down, how come the rotors are so expensive? Or I just shouldn't b comparing them price wise to the stock solid rotors? Lol Pricewise these work out to be roughly the same as ArizonaZcars 6 piston, 13" setup (or does their price not include pads?) so any real reason y u chose this? I assume they'd comply to ADR's and easily pass engineers!?! hehe, hopefully in a yrs time this is where I'm up to... Keep up the good work
  16. they look nice are you doing z06 rear's to match? How much would another set of adaptor/hat's be to have machines up?
  17. looks good, i think the white outline around the 'Z' should be infront of the black text would an inside sticker be a problem in terms of pulling off tinting upon removal? I guess most people dont have tinting, but i do! and the sticker would only be removed for upgrading purposes lol
  18. when i was looking for either the "MSA" style one, or the one with ducts i contacted Len, and he seemed to only have the bre chin style ones. Luckily someone on ozdat wanted one of them, and i wanted the one he had. the one with ducts is availible through allzparts, but apparently they aren't the fastest to deal with at times! http://www.allzparts.com.au/
  19. ...just get it from the guy in sale, while the add might imply something different, the spoiler on the car below was bought from the guy in sale http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2018.0.html however i assume he only does fibreglass ones, but could always ask if he can make it out of something else...i wonder how much it'd b for a carbon one?!?
  20. if you read what vicroads says about engine conversions its pretty ambiguous (says something about using a newer version of a similar motor is alright). although any increase in power by 15% is surposed to get an engineers cert, and i doubt most ppl do when they modify their silvias etc, and ppl putting 4age's in their sprinters seems to come under a similar categry. an rb25 gearbox is around 1.5g, rb20's are around 500 last time i saw
  21. you going to stick with drums on the back???
  22. thanks for the headsup van, just subscribed can't wait to get a copy and see whats coming up in the next ones. your car looks sexy in the pics sulio, as always
  23. the blue 240zhoke car with wats in america has wilwoods on it, i remember reading something about him using a 10mm spacer or around that to clear the brakes on the front? i'm not sure if its the same calipers though. so is that the price for just the front? which calipers is it using? do they have dust seals? as i need them to pass ADR's so i can get my car engineered using them...can you paste a link to a picture of whats included in this thread? thanks -evan
  24. i'm ready, but am interested in knowing the same things charlie has just asked about lol "Did you find out if the Dyna Pro Willwoods with the dust seals fit the JSK kit and any Ideas what the total cost would be? Also Juan's had five months to come up with the hand brake function so do you think he ever will?"
