  1. Yeah that site is really old, but he finally bought a domain name instead of using the free geocities hosting with the adverts. so go to http://datsunzgarage.com for the site minus the adverts.
  2. Ah, but I said "engrish", not "english". Also they are rivet on, not bolt on.
  3. Which plate are you looking at? There should be the Nissan ID tag, which wont have any dates on it. Then the re's the Compliance plate which will have a month/year date on it. Also you can compare engine numbers to the dates on the USA Z car register, as all the engine numbers were unique.
  4. The correct 'engrish' term for them is "over-fenders", well thats what nissan called them.
  5. There's already a 280z in Australia, ex US serviceman brought it over and left it here. Last time it was for sale he was asking $4500 for it. 280z aren't worth much however rare they are in Aus. I'd leave it in the states, unless you are really attached to it.
  6. wow, thats 6 minutes of boring. The videos about 5 minutes too long. I can appreciate the work thats gone into the car though. Is that a OHC V8 or a pushrod?
  7. Try Greyhound Bus freight. http://www.greyhoundfreight.com.au They can pickup and deliver right to your door. (or depot to depot is cheaper).
  8. Are your sure it was a 240? the red wine metallic is the closest thing to purple in original colours that i've seen, but that was on the 260z. Here's what it looks like (not the best photo, but still): http://www.wazregister.com/classifieds/6/images/imageviewer.php?filename=1.jpg There was 362 dark purple metallic, but I've never seen one. also a 260z colour.
  9. Georges rear guards are flared. Not bolt on flared, but flared none the less.
  10. Looks like a real video thats they ran through some video effects software. It's like that old A-ha video (Just saw an episode of Family guy that ripped off that video too). Hey Van, have you ever thought about taking your drawings and making an animation? I think it would look great as a 2d style animation. Maybe an animated comic book in flash or something. That way you could have movement and sound effects. Just a thought...
  11. You cant get money out of ebay unless you paid with paypal, and even then its like blood from a stone. Which is fair enough I guess, since you buy anything from the ebay company in the first place, but a private individual. Ebay is just the conduit that brought the two of you together. It's like trying to get money from the rotary club because you got ripped off at one of there swap-meets, at least I reckon thats how they (ebay) think of it, because they are no help at all on these matters. While i'm ranting. They charge you to list, and again when it sells, and again when you accept a paypal payment (paypal is owned by ebay). Thats triple dipping. If i've stuff to sell i'm gonna try OZtion Is free to list stuff, and it automatically relists if it doesn't sell. Its simpler to use than ebay. And its an Aussie company based in Melbourne.
  12. Theres a 240z on ebay that might suit. Search for item number 130130619834, You'd have to ship it down from brissie.
  13. Nope there not. But by coincidence when Nissan took a 240Z over to Canada for Cold weather testing in '69 before they went on sale, they had Silvia hubcaps on it.
  14. I've had a 240Z strut and a 260Z strut side by side on a bench together, so I know exactly how they are different.
  15. R30 GTR?
  16. Basically everything from the front seats forward will swap over without too much trouble. And basically everything back wont fit - doors, hatch, bumpers, shocks, (except for A arms, mustache bar, diff, brakes which will fit).
  17. Dude, just get a stroker crank from NZ. I've seen them over there on trademe for as cheap as $50.
  18. In the photo of the night time, he had disconnected the standard lights, so you couldn't see the needle in the photos.
  19. I think if we get enough people interested we could get some made up in KPH instead of MPH. They you could just install them over your MPH 240z gauges to convert them to KPH. or use them on a 260z. They are reverse gauges, meaning that the numbers and markings glow. Normal ones, the gauge face glows and the numbers and markings are black, and they are white faced during the day. eg: www.speedhut.com
  20. Just saw this in czc. Custom reverse indeglow type gauges from speedhut.com Daytime Looks stock:
  21. Like zeds, you can get most parts form the US. Nissan sold a heap of them there so they are still a popular car. Front ball joints are a bit of a problem though. No one makes replacements anymore, but there are plans afoot. www.311s.org (click the forum link).
  22. Ok, I'm starting a fansub project, I doubt sbs will ever show the movie, as the people that own it wont even release it on DVD.
  23. Well there isn't one' date=' But if they they get enough people requesting them to show the movie it might happen, so everyone email them at comments@sbs.com.au Heres a default letter you can email them if you cant be bothered writing one yourself - just remember to put your name instead of <your name here> Don't mention its about illegal street racing
