From what I can gather there are 4 live action Wangan midnight movies. I've only ever seen the first one, but you can buy the VHS videos from Japan (for aroound 15800 yen approx $160 each :shock: ). But they are in Japanese and no subtitles. I dont think they have ever been released on DVD. I recon we start a partition to SBS to show the movies on TV, that way they will translate them, and someone can record them of Digital TV

Still worth watching if you are a Z nut, event though you can only understand 2 or 3 words of it. I watched Initial D on the weekend, an internet version, half way through the subtitles stopped making sense :shock:

We're talking about compliance plates. They are issued by the Australian Government, and I think they would get a bit upset if you started reproducing them. They don't have engine numbers on them - just the Chassis number, ADR's and type of vehicle. The ones you saw on Ebay were probably Repro Nissan ID plates, which you can get reproduction versions of. I don't think theres any problem with them, unless you go stamping different numbers onto them. :wink: :twisted:

Yeah, I got my flares off Chris a year or two ago. Will be a long time before I get to put them on the Z though Got them in my stash of parts for 'someday'.

Umm, i think it might be illegal to re-make compliance plates. Better check with the Department of Transport first. How bad is yours. If it isn't bent up, cleaning it up with some car polish and a tooth brush worked for me.

Did you mean the entire fenders? of just the overfenders (flares).

I think some guys on ozdat used 12volt portable hair dryers. just wired it up to a switch and stuck the end in the tube that leeds to the vents under the dash. something like this: http://www.sailgb.com/p/12v_hair_dryer/

The chrome ones are from a 510. The matt black ones are from an S30. Buy them from nissan japan (if you have connections), and cut out the profit making middle man.

If it went sea mail it could take anything up to 3 months. I asked the guy at the post office when I hadn't received some parts from the US after about 8 weeks, and he told me that sometimes it takes up to 6 months, but I thought that was a bit far-fetched. Anyway it turned up a week later. If you paid for Air and it went sea, I'd be asking for a refund of shipping charges, because they stuffed up, and because you had to wait so long for it to arrive.

Hi Paul Getting the car double seam welded wouldn't hurt. I think the best way to stiffen the chassis to handle lots of torque is to extend the frame rails to the rear sub frame, and maybe weld in a 2 sections out to the sills. Cant find the photo I was looking for, but Phillip from Sweden has done pretty much the same thing with his car, though he has replaced the rails completely with steel tube.
