What size Wats have you got?

Hi Nate, hmmm...still not sure, non vented does flow well as Gav said but is'nt there a vented one that is identical in dimensions to the non vented one appart from the vents? I like the BRE spook spoiler for a car thats been subtley modified re the body just like the one in the pic with the chic, just wheels and a neat spoiler, nice and clean and neat. The g-nose certainly would give the car a unique look but I still reckon they stick out too much, not that I don't like the look but non a huge fan.

I'm in the market for another spoiler. Some pics I've come across. hmmm...vented or non-vented!

Seeing it is winter and there is always the possibility of rain I think we should organise the meeting point to be a location we can sit down and have a few drinks at even if it is raining!

Yer well personally I thought the Japanese would knock them off and as far as Brazil goes the Aussies are already in a sort of win win situation. If they win it would be a miracle upset and if you've got say $20.00 on them you'll make a tidy profit and it just makes the game that little bit more interesting. If they lose nobody is gonna hold it against them because it's Brazil they lost to!

sco_aus, what set up did you go for at the rear?

Well I finally found some time to install new bearings and rotors. After spending much time thinking about upgrades I settled for solid slotted and cross drilled rotors. Changing calipers to someting like Z32 calipers was someting I considered too much work at the moment. The wieght issues of the Hilux brakes concerned me. Vented discs would be nice but since it;s not a track car probably not that beneficial. So I decided I wanted someting that would improve my stopping power when needed occasioanlly and look nice through the wheels. The DBA rotors I got do this and look good I reckon. Pics attached. They costed me $320.00. Still gotta do the rear upgrade! Cheers Sulio

I'm pretty sure you can get some pretty good deals based on the fact the car is over 30 years old (assuming it is) with classic historic insurance a few companies offer. I think Gavs insured under this deal.

Last year I enquired about these and a rep from Performance Wheels told me they had them in 16x7 and 16x8 to suit the Z. He also said they were to come out in 16x10 like their Challenger style wheel. I wonder if the 16x10 are out yet?

I payed $1790.00 for the set. Pretty good really for a custom wheel I reckon. If your thinking about 16's why not get the Wats. I think Gav can get them through a guy for around the AUD$2000 mark delivered!!! Sulio

I've got those egg shaped RAMFLO sponge filters with the chrome wire mesh holding them in place. I just like the fact it gives me more room. Sulio

This guys really gone to town on the RWC! You can fix most of that stuff yourself just spend some cash and get the other stuff fixed eslsewhere. This guy see's your young and his aim is to make some money assuming you tell him yeah fix it all up!!! Open check style. Sounds like the car needs a bit of attention so just fix it up. Buying a second car whilst fixing a Zed is not a good idea if you think it will save you money, especially if it's an older car you'll just end up spending money on it to keep it on the road.

I'm in the process of putting some new rotors on the front. I understand that brake lines can expand under braking pressure and take way some of the efficiency of the brakes. How much would I notice braided lines on a street car if the brake fluid and in turn the lines aren't getting super hot? Do they still expand to any significant amount when relativley cool? What can I expect to pay for a braided lines to suit the front and are they readily available? I've read on some sites selling them OS and stressing that they sell street legal braided lines; whats the go with that comment, are some not street legal? Thanks Sulio
