  1. Hi Evan, just wanted to post cool well priced wheel that i found a bit of talk about on hybridz. look cool, comes in 16 and 17 just not sure if available in australia but check out below! the yanks are paying about usd650 for the set of four of these and they fit a z! http://www.autornd.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=14_8857&products_id=170 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=102801&page=2
  2. I saw mine parked on Fitzroy St in St.Kilda and left a note on the windscreen. It had a smashed drivers side window with a jumper in place over it. As it turned out the owner called me back about a week later and advised he had just moved from SA nad driven the car down. He was in a bad spot and wanted to sell the car so it worked out ok for both of us! Sulio
  3. If you want a firmer ride and get the car looking a little tougher you can get heavier lowered springs installed to replace the existing. Although ideally you might want to think about about changing shocks too depending on condition the springs would only set you back approx $200 + installation prolly a couple of hundred if that. Evans pretty good with photoshopping cars maybe he can show us what it would look like if lowered a couple of inches!???
  4. I voted suspension. Why go fast if it feels like your in a boat. Z cars look so much better when they sit that little bit lower. Almost chose brakes for same reason.
  5. To make a real difference I reckon get rid of the mud guards and get some lowered springs!?? Look alot more aggressive
  6. Any ideas on how much a seal kit for these calipers costs? Are they easy to install? How much would a brake specialist charge to replace seals? Thanks Sulio
  7. 600-900 ea. hmmm...+ shipping. Sounds like it would work out to about the AUD$2000.00 to $2500.00 maybe more!? Would look nice in 17" though!
  8. Your getting sneaky with all the photoshopping your doing mate! Good work. Yer there's a couple of places in Moorabin. Can't remember the name off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure it will cost $150 per side rolled. So if you get centers and want both sides rolled it will be $300 per wheel. It could be a good idea if you get a set of those RS-8's that come up ocasionally on e-bay but you might have to wait a while.
  9. The Wats in the photo above look like 17's? Evan this blue one you've posted looks great from every angle. I really like this car, one of my faves. Big desicion getting wheels. I reckon they make or break the look of the car. Well that and the height the car sits at I reckon. This blue car has got it right in all departments, notice the flat on the underside of the spoiler. Has this car got a complete gallery somewhere?
  10. Close ups? When is it back on the road? Time to go low!?
  11. Yer that side view looks so much like a GT40. My guess is an original would cost huge money but just out of curiousity whats someting like that worth? Geez check out how dark the tint is on the 240! Looks pretty cool but might be a bit scary driving at night.
  12. Option 2 for me but I'm a sucker for that fat look so prolly a bit biased! I also think you should finish off suspension and upgrade brakes before you start thinking about any serious engine work.
  13. thats sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe we could organise something like this one meeting.
  14. Yer a bit of old school entertainment on those rainy days. Cool vid. http://www.urmom.net/videos/racenight.wmv
  15. A friend at work has decided to build a slot car track in his garage. Over the past few weeks he's been showing me some of the cars and pics of the track. I thought it would be fun to build a car in 1/32 scale from scratch based on my real car. So eventually I found one on e-bay and I'm waiting for delivery. I've added a pic of the resin moulded car and a similar track that my friends building in his garage. Will post pics of the car when painted up in red with ZG flares, big wheels and rear fin.
  16. Calipers inc brackets are $70 for the pair. I beleive you can new discs for about $40.00 ea.

  18. The R31 rear end still complete on the car at the yard.
  19. I caught up with Louey and we've both sourced the R31 rear end which I'm hoping to mount this coming week. I took some pics of the car next to the one I got my set off. As you can see once the axles are out the bracket simply comes off. I'll post a progressive series of pics when I mount them to the back of the Z. No pics of the rotors here but I'm also planning to use the R31 rotor.
  20. Good find Evan. That is a really neat car. Sits nice and low too.
  21. hmmm...Ash, you social butterfly, well I expect it would be hard to set a date that everyone could attend so lets just stick to 1 pm Sunday the 6th of August at 5/54 Howleys Rd Notting Hill. It's basically behind Monash Uni Clayton Campus. As previously stated all meat will be supplied for BBQ just bring along drinks. If interested in going for a cruise afterwoulds perhaps someone thats familiar with the the roads out east can put something together however my rear end is rubbing and still in need of body work. I will try and work something out though so I can join in and finally use my camera and post a little movie of this meet afterwoulds. Gav, shoot through an e-mail to that journo when you get a chance please and it might be a good idea to rename this post and correct date. Nate seeing you started the post you can actually edit this post and change title to reflect correct date otherwise Gav might be able to change it and send out a group e-mail to all members! Sulio
  22. I have seen that car before on other forums and it did come up in our old forums before the site upgrade. Yer the orange really comes up looking nice against the black.
  23. I found this on my hard drive whilst doing some cleaning. I thought I'd post it somewhere. Looking forward to getting into more vids, this was just to try my camera out. Gav was recording so blame him for dodgy camera work. Looking forward to the next Z meet to put a half decent vid together! <object><param></param><embed></embed></object> *EDIT - hmmm Itried to embed it but no luck any tips Gav? Anyhow a link below to where I stored it,
  24. A vid related to this type of paint.
  25. Evan, can't you just get temp reg for that work. approx $60.00 for 28 days allows you to move the car around for that time. The cost is about the same as one trailer hire cost!
