  1. Yer I reckon you would need about -15mm offset for a 9" rim and stock set up but as Gav said the US 280Z might have less clearance. A lot of variables, ie theres more room at the back than front too from memory but the link to the sticky explains it pretty well.
  2. Yer thats the artical but I think it's a farm in Vic as there is a paragraph in there; Hmmm...great read! Good find, I looked for about 10 min for that one! OK so next question is how do we find this guy! Got a link of the URL the complete artical is at?
  3. wow your mum bought a project car! thats pretty cool, she must like Z's? wow, who's doing the work! I'm running late for dinner to answer this question but I'll give it a go when I get back tonite!
  4. Looking great! So your driving the car, what you got left to do? I went to hit 5/5 and hit the wrong button!
  5. Still gotta send you that CD. Just a very busy time for me too this last couple of weeks!
  6. Maybe this post should be in: Recommended Specialists/Parts Restoration Guide(s) perhaps we can change that heading to Recommended Specialists/Parts Restoration Guide & Special Offers(s)
  7. Yer I've seen heaps of British SU's on Z's. I've heard you can mix and match needles from this type to the hitachi round tops to get good results!?
  8. Theres a place in sunshine, fo rthe life of me i can't remember the name, I think something like OLARENSHAWS and they mix and match auto paints. I've gone there plenty but just take your petrol flap off and drop it off at any paint store that sell car paint. I think most will match you up a small tin for abot $25-$30 dollars.
  9. Good work Azman. This was the car I was talking about. Is the owner a member here, just wondering about his suspension set up?
  10. oooh the silver does look nice!

sits nice and low, I like the pipes on it too.
  12. hehe...not often that you see an S30 at a dealership these days. I bet you would'nt be able to swap that lazer for a zed these days!
  13. I was there for about an hour. Did'nt get the car ready as I was hoping so just parked on the street. I need to upload the pics I've got. I did'nt get get a photo of a low white 240 with superlite wheels. I thought it looked quite nice. Anybody get some pics of that car? he left just as I was about to take a photo of it!
  14. I was living in St.Kilda when I found my car. I walked past it one day and found it parked on Fitzroy St with a smashed drivers side window and a jumoer used to keep the rain out. I left the owner a note on the window and he called me about a week later. I bought the car for 1000 or 1500, can't remember which but a good buy at the time. There are some pretty good deals out there but you gotta have a bit of luck on your side too!
  15. Yer sounds toogood to be true! The original post has larger font but strange how the thread died off!? It reminds me of the thread somewhere on this forum about the farm in country Victoria full of scattered Z's of all types!
  16. Cool thread, good read! quoted from original thread, link below for pics etc http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20217
  17. Looks good. The black centers suit the your white paint. I used a set of 15x7 superlites with 225 tyres at the rear that had about 5 to 10mm clearence on the rear spring perch and never had a problem. I think you'll be ok it's just that a posative offset can look a bit off I reckon if the wheels sit to far in to the center of the car!? Have ya got some pics of the car front on or from the rear?
  18. Hi Evan, Adjust the closing mechanism, (latch), on your bonnet, it should'nt open that easily. The 240 and early 260 2 seater rear strutt towers are the same but the later 260 ones are taller from memory.
  19. Just FYI if you are after the spares on the car you can use everything on the front of the car in 2 seater 260.
  20. Cool starting story line. I dropped in to quite a few comic/animation shops in KL this week and was amazedat how much of that Initial D series was stocked on shelves!
  21. who's the wrecker that is getting the "new" ones?
