As far as the 240/260 thing goes its no hard and fast rule its just a site dedicated to early zeds and nice to hear from all. Many of the guys here are running L28's so there's much to relate to. Yer this is the problem when it comes to 16's. Availabilities for low profile wide 16's is low. I would'nt be surprised at all if you were forced to pay $300 to $400 a tyre if you are planning on 245 for the rears to suit those wats. NZeder, what did tyres set you back mate?

Evan, Ash told me you bought a set of flares. I remember when I got mine I stuck them on with tape and they looked quite funny with stock wheels. What I mean by the stars lining up is its very hard to find a second hand set of wheels with correct PCD and offset. A good example is the RS-8's you have mentioned. The offset is wrong so you would have to get inner pieces rolled which will cost you $150 per wheel. Of course as you suggested you could get adapters but even that will cost you about $300+ but if you want deep dish you still need to roll outer peices so there's another $150 per wheel. So assuming you had already found these wheels there is still at least $900 you would have to spend to get your wheels right and if you roll both sides it would be more like $1200. So if you go the adapter option $900 is based on $150x4 for outer peices and your $300 for adapters. And the worst part of all this would be after spending all this time and money you would still be running adapters. Just trying to point out that $2200 for wats in this size is pretty good hey and from experience good deals like this usually don't last very long or they go up in price!

Yer I'd have to agree, its the roof line that gives the Z half its look hey! but still does'nt look all that bad.

Evan, sounds like you need alot of stars to line up for things to work out based what you've just stated. If you need to change offsets on 2nd hand 3 piece wheels the only way thats gonna be viable for you is if you score a free set of wheels with correct PCD, and chances are it would still cost $300 per rim to set up ie $150 per side rolled. I was thinking as you are but after searching high and low I realised that wheels in the dimensions we are talking about are far and few in between for sale used. Mr Camouflage has found a pretty good deal here but I would investigate how much tyres will set you back in 16's before making any solid commitments. Evan a little birdy told me you bought some ZG flares!?

Matt Drago took this particular photo during our last meet. I then played around in photoshop to "tweek" the pic. I also posted this one in my gallery on CLASSICZ. OK- Details for Saturday evening meet for photo opps. So bring along your cameras and tripods and of course the more the merrier. Of course you'll only need that tripod once the sun starts setting but your all welcome to use mine if you have'nt got one. For people with little digi cams like I have I've found it's useful to have the little pocket fold out tri pods (about $10 from Teds Cameras) that work just as well if you can find a good spot to rest it on and of course set your camera up on the right manual settings for the light levels. Meet time - 6:30pm Loction - Victoria harbour at Docklands, near helicopter shed on North Wharf which is actually North Wharf Rd in Docklands. Melway Ref - MAP 2E grid C6

Thanks Dave, time to get into the new motor now but that will have to wait till we buy a new house as I just need more room. I've got an L28 sitting on an engine stand in the garage ready for some mild work on head and mild cam just to make it more fun on the road. Hi Evan, Have'nt had a chance to cut the the body yet so can't drive too hard in corners. I prefer the rear panel matt black. Have'nt found the carbon fibre mirrors but I want to get the black shiny ones instead. Not really a fan of the carbon fibre look, too many honda civics seem to be covered in it. In the pics above the rear fin was just placed there for the pic. Just before I left I used Sikaflex to mount it so I have'nt really had a chacnce to drive the car properly but I never thought about the fume issue, very good point Evan, I see how it could affect it. Well theres one more rationalization added to the list for getting a rear fin! :wink: Yer I was umming and arring but does looking great and after Evans point about the fumes well thats just icing on the cake.

Hi Guys, Sorry just looged on today seeing the hotel I'm staying at changed ownership and teh phones were out for two days. I thought we could meet up at the docks which are usually quite good for pics but last time I was there I did'nt take notice of dock numbers. I'll check the Melways tonight and post further details.
