  1. Just got the news myself. So sad, R. I. P Kyle Sulio
  2. Spending alot of time restoring a z isn't false economy for some. For instance a young single bloke that has a limited Income and is time rich ie watching tv when he gets home from work. Better off getting into the car to get it as far Along as possible. This is very different from someone running a business or those with family commitments. Although we often joke a out it, I bet there have been some intense restorations that have cost blokes more than just dollars, what value do you place on precious family time and things that can be missed out on through obsession of our cars. Anyway really digressing here. I know a guy who imported a lhd. 240 fromthe us. Cost him a few bux to sort out and convert. No market for lhd 240's here I reckon, pain in the butt for overtaking too. Ah back to my fajitas. Sulio Sent from my iPhone
  3. Some pics of the new place mate? Sulio
  4. Yes Welcome, very original, nice. Sulio
  5. Dumb ones I've seen, STOLEN, I wonder how often this guy gets pulled over by the cops. EXRQTR, just embarrasing for anyone over 16. STUCUP, the bird driving this car looked like she survived on a diet of fish and chips. Sulio
  6. Aaah Lurch good one, Nicole and our little munchkin, Hana Sulio
  7. I had a great day, I have'nt seen some of you in a while so it was great to catch up. Even got some low ball offers in, (Ash I'll up that offer to $7K, just make sure you take out the chicken wire and bog where the rust is!?) Good turn out of cars and people. John left early however won the main raffle prize, the tool kit! Cheers, Sulio
  8. This is great news, now just gotta find a new Z!
  9. What about a Zed with one of those bouncy front ends, you know that pimp low rider thing the yanks do. hehe - just kidding, I find the concept stupidly funny. Sulio
  10. Yep count me in with the family. We've been so lucky with the weather previous years, fingers crossed. Sulio
  11. Thats part of the intended wheel design, have'nt you guys heard of crumple zone on wheels.
  12. Hi Guys, I'm sorry to say that I've just been informed at the office that I will be away for a week in Sydney leaving the Monday after the Apollo Bay weekend so I'm out as it's too much time away from the family. Cheers, Sulio
  13. Hi Guys, Dimitri, thanks for making the time today and holding on to the car until I was back in Melbourne. I got a good look at it today and unfortunately it's a tad much work for me so I'll have to pass. The car is complete with all parts and true to Dimitri's description. Good luck with the sale mate. Cheers, Sulio
  14. Yer something to be said about the stronger Aussie dollar. I bet all these cheap mustangs I've seen in the last couple of years must be a result of the last time the Aussie dollar hit 0.98 US. Most likely get a bit of a rush on grey imports when your buying at that price. And the dollar is at it again, 95.7 today, I wonder how high it will climb this time. Sounds like there is uncertainty in the US eceonomy again so who knows we might get on parr with the yanks! This line of thinking can get me in trouble with the second half! Sulio
  15. Great thanks Dimitri, see ya tommorrow! Sulio
  16. So is it sold? If no I'm keen!? Sulio
  17. Sounds good mate
  18. No Probs, I'll look into it. Yep I can drive it and it's in sfae hands knowing I've only got 1 point on my licence for the next 10 months so gotta drive like a Nanna! Sulio
  19. Craig yer that date is good for me. Lets lock something in and book the accomodation. I spoke to Loui he's also keen so thats 4. You guys want to book the same place as previous years? Sulio
  20. Still looking although I have found a nice original 240 with original faded paint but very clean, minimal rust. Thats another story for another thread though. Will see how it goes. In the mean time the wifes car got hit our the the front of the house whilst parked. Looks like a ride off, will know this week so must find her a car now. Hey Loui, you staying the night? Sulio
  21. Yer I'm too fussed with the route and it would be good to chnage it just for the sake of seeing new roads but we really should try and keep that stretch of road in the journey up as it's 55km of driving bliss. Anyhow you determine the route as you've been and we'll have to talk about accomodation between us soon. Cheers, Sulio
  22. Lurch keep in mind the best stretch of road for that trip is the 55km run from Lorne to Apollo Bay. Colac to Lavers Hill to AB will niss the best part of it? Cheers, Sulio
  23. I'd be an ovenighter, after all that driving I always look forward to a shower, a quiet drink at the hotel and then off to dinner. But it's close enough for all to have the option of a drive back hope at the end of the day for anybody that would not prefer to stay the night. This is a template plan from yeasr prior: Meet at the outbound servo at the Westgate 10:00am with dep at 10:30am sharp 10:30am to 12:00 - Melbourne to Bells Beach approx 100km (1 hour 20 minutes), 30 min stop to stretch the legs and maybe walk on beach 12:30pm to 1:00pm - Bells Beach to Lorne, approx 25km (30 minutes), 1 hour stop for lunch 2:00pm to 3:00pm - Lorne to Appollo Bay approx 50km (45 minutes depending on traffic) 3:00pm Check in. For those that are staying the night check in to Apollo Bay accomodation, if weather is good go for a spin out to Lavers Hill and be back in time for drinks and dinner Sulio
