  1. Hey John, that would be handy. If you have an electronic version can you send it to me please? sulio_m@hotmail.com Thanks, Sulio
  2. Are these the same wheels that Ben sells? The rotas? I reckon they look pretty good from all angles especially at that height. Sulio
  3. Hi Guys, Posting this for a friend so please refer to contact details below:
  4. Welcome Ben, yer come down for the meeting as you will get a chance to check out quite a few Z's. Sulio
  5. Hey Dimitri, man, theres a few around hey. I know of a nice sky blue 2 seater in my hood that never gets driven. Left some notes on the screen but I don't think the owner has got onto the site. I've always thought I might bump into the owner one day as I ride my bike past. ok back to the thread, no more unrelated chat. Great buy, can't waoit to see pics!? Sulio
  6. hmmm...I've always thought a +20 offset is too much posative offset for a Z even with 7" wide rim as it sits the wheel in too close to the spring perch and also gives the car that pushed in wheel look and does'nt fill the guards. I'd go with a 0 offset for a 7" rim on an early Z. Jeez they must be pretty big brakes, can't they fit under the 16x8 -4's? good luck Sulio Oh forgot, look at Warrenz car he's got the 16x7 front and 16x8 rear. Some slight rubs on the rear but just needs a bit of lipping from memory and fill in gaurds really nicely. I'm sure you could fit pretty big brakes on with those wheels. Can get em over night.
  7. bummer, another car stolen from Victoria! Sulio
  8. just what I was thinking mate.
  9. Ben at OTOMOTO sells some nice wheels in 16 and 17 for a good price. Look in the sponsors link area. Sulio
  10. Yep, hope to get mine in as soon as I find a suitable set of inserts. Will not try and do it until after the Grampians run just to be sure my car is running. Really happy with the coilovers and Ben's service is second to none. I'm off to France, Italy and the Croation coast for two months in Aug and Sept so gotta try and get them in by then. Sulio
  11. Rev, you should post his details here. I'll look him up soon! Sulio
  12. Really enjoyed looking at them, thanx for posting guys. Looked like fun. Sulio
  13. Hi John, Welcome to the forums. You've come to the right place for local advise as we have a pretty good Victorian member base. You should try and come along to our next meeting at the Jag Club next month. It's a weekly do usually about 7pm, check the calendar for dates, time and location. There are always plenty of Z's to check out and we usually get one inside for an owner presentation. We will be playing our last weekend trip away at Thredbo on the big screen, about a 30 minute film of the 4 days away. Check out the Members Journal section in the forums as it's a great way to progress the build up of your Z with pics and continual progress updates for all to see and get advise. Cheers, Sulio
  14. Hi mate, Yer thats the plan, Dimitri has got a set of rears coming to him so I'll use them for the time being. Thanks Lurch. Hey just another question re Aluminas, they are gas whilst the Koni's are oil filled? Sulio
  15. Hi Guys, Just a quick question, the Alumina's I'm looking at here have got spring perch's in the photo. Whats the deal with using them with coil overs? I might have missed somethoing but just in a rush to head out the door and noticed it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKICO-2-ILLUMINA-REAR-SHOCKS-NISSAN-240Z-70-to-74_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33590QQihZ027QQitemZ400042762802QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Sulio
  16. Looking good. Is that a factory gold colour? Sulio
  17. Hmmm...both restaraunt and bistro booked out. Craig, are there other otions re dinner? Surely we could have dinner either late or early. Sulio
  18. Hi Guys, It's not a daily driver but I want to avoid wearing gloves. Some of the wheels I've seen look like they have a spongy finish? What about these? Sulio
  19. Good write up, pics and information. Topic set as sticky. Sulio
  20. Hi Guys, Got a wooden steering wheel mounted on a Boss kit. Can anybody recommended something a little better for spirited driving with sweaty hands, ie one of thise sponge or suede wheels with the yellow line!? Sulio
  21. Hi Craig, Welcome, sounds like your car will be ready for our cruise to the Grampians in a couple of months!? Sulio
  22. If you have the time I suppose but why not just get it photoshopped just in case... Sulio
  23. Can you weld a long pipe to the roof to get that tank look? Maybe some steel plates over the wheels and mesh on the windows. You could be like that truck on that Stephen King movie Duel! We had this pic of a US 240 that had been converted to soemthing that yellow that resembled a train, now that car could have used this paint scheme. Just kidding, have'nt seen a paint job like that on a car before!? I persoanlly would'nt do it, I reckon the whole army green fashion is getting a bit tired. Maybe it's got something to do with Bush out and Obama in and the whole "less war theme" ? My other concern about painting the car that colour is that peopel will start shooting at you! Sulio
  24. Hi Guys, Some of you may have noticed the Otomoto banner on the front page. Ben of Otomoto has become our first official sponsor so please check the new sponsors section of the forums which will have continual updates and pricing on all the goodies that Otomoto supplies from various OS Giken performance parts, to wheels to suit Z cars and coil over kits. The list goes on but check out the site yourself and stay tuned to all the ongoing specials Otomoto provides. It's good to see someone supporting the Z scene with parts that we normally have to source from Japan or the US. Quite a few of our members have already bought various parts from Otomoto and the feedback has been very posative so we are proud to have Otomoto sponsor Auszcar! http://www.otomoto.com.au/ Sulio
  25. Hi Ben, Thanks for the disc, works great. Just getting back to formats. PP CS3 does'nt support TS file format however I can convert the HD stuff to MPEG.2 to retain good quality. (I found H264 dropped a bit fromt he original quuality). Sound but no picture with the MPEG.2 files!? Any tips? Sulio
