I*'m a big fan of keeping these cars drivable and on the road verses long dawn out projects, (some are lucky and have a couple of Z's so they still get their fun whilst working on a slow resto, not the case most of the time though). I reckon fix the 260, I know your L26 is cactus so just pick up a cheap local L28. Keep the car going as a daily and buy all the bits you want so you can isntall them whenever your ready, ideally in one go in a short period of time. So you can snap up some coileover and put em away, an RB25DET and tuck it away etc. This way your money is going to your Z, you get to enjoy the car now whilst it serves a purposes on a practical level and in the back of your mind you know you have all those good bits ready to go at a time of your choosing. The other point is you've just started your job so who knows you might end up with a company vehicle at some point in the future which is the perfect scenario!? Just keep in mind alot can happen in 2 years, a time may come when you would like to get into the Z but may not be able to...happens to people all the time. Result, as Craig said a project for sale! Thanks guys, hmmm...I wonder if they'll actually get them onto the rim in a 17. I've got a set of semi slick Falkens (Azenis the name i think), well I'm heading off to see if I can get them fitted. I think th etyre wall height will be a bit big but will see today. Sulio

Hi Guys, I was hoping to have this short vid up last week however got bogged down at work. I had some issues with the HD footage. Hopefully I can sort it out for a decent full video on DVD in time. Please note I did have a first short vid ready at much better quality with alot more footage and pics of the ACT and NSW guys but the first vid froze at the end of the edit after a few hours so I whipped up this shorty out of frustration. I got mine from Brown Davis in Bayswater. Great install. $950.00 inc powder coating from memory. Drop the car off set up your seat and show em how you sit ie head, and they work around that. Very neat and proffesional CAMS approved etc. Sulio

Hi Guys, Finally got a chance to log on after a days catch up at work. Was'nt it a ball! After finally seeing the 370z I can say I'm a fan. In real life it looks quite different to the 350z, especially when you get them up next to each other, everything from the wheel base to the doors to the brakes and fatter wheel arch's. Thanks to the Nissan guys, Steffan, James and Marcus (Marcus from memory sorry!?). Maybe have that 240 ready for the Tassy trip in a couple of years Stefan!? Oh and Craig did pretty much all the organising for this trip, I tried to help where I could as I've been tied up of late. Also Chris's AUSZCAR banner worked a treat. I'll be in touch to get one made up for Vic, thanks mate! Well many many pics to come I'm sure and I have alot of video to get through. I've set up my desk in preperation for some editing. I'll get some of the raw stuff to James although 95% of the footage is hand held and choppy. Scott no need to worry I found that I did get a repeated loss of power on the longer climbs and my air/fuel guage dropped off to lean every time so I'm very sure I need to up the petrol flow as it's obviously not getting the volume required for the longer uphill runs in high gear under WOT. I need to install an electric pump. In addition to that i managed to get to the strings on my rear tyres showing by return, (a heavy footed U-turn got it to that at the bottom of the mountain) so bring on the R specs for the rear and I think it's time to start the new L28 build. My plan is to get a 30 second video for the site as a teaser in the short term. We'll have the DVD ready for the big screen at the Jag Club (about 1 hour long) for our next meeting at the Jag Club in approx 6 to 8 weeks! I'll have copies ready for the inter staters that made it! So all those Victorians that could'nt make it should get a heap of close up video of the new 370z as well as all the antics of the trip. We can start discussions on a Grampians trip at that meeting but lets just keep that under raps for now! There were also some really nice early Z's to be seen, originals and clean RB powered rockets. I got a ride in Judds silver 260 2 seater with an RB25 and man it was like being in a new car. I was amazed at how quiet and solid it was. Makes the RB sound like a pretty darn good idea. have you compared your flares to others, they may be out? Mine fit fine with the contour of the body. The rubber fills any small gap. Hmmm both sides same on mine. Pic below for comparsion. yes no should'nt have to. I would suggest to borrow some others to check if the set you have are true. Sulio

Hi Guys, With the Thredbo trip coming next week I want to make sure we get some good video for all those that can't make it. I'm planning to bring along a couple of video camera's and two "sticky pods" so I can mount the cams in various places. Anyhow I've decided to get ready a list of questions I can ask people on the trip regarding their cars and just general Z stuff to add some spice to the vid. I've got this thread going so you fellas can give me a hand in the sort of questions you would ask a bunch of Z enthusiasts??? Just list them from here in and I pick out what ever I can use ovr the 4 day trip. Oh and anyone thats bringing a miniDV camera along it would be great to get my hands on your tape at the end of the trip so I can pick out the good stuff then I can mail it back to you.
