  1. Mike in Sydeny makes them but all you need is a bit of thin brass wire and use a bremel with a 0.9 or 1mm drill bit to make the hole. I think anything from 0.9 to 1.2 mm should be ok. SUlio
  2. A great. Ben can you PM me your number. I'll call you tommorrow and drop by if good with you!?? Thanks, Sulio
  3. Gotta be careful with those things, I've heard of people vanishing at high speeds with em installed. Sulio
  4. I really don't think it is a codec issue as none of the sound from thre actual Pinnacle program works, ie demo sounds, tutorial video etc. The actual software actually has no sound. It imports the HD footage in really smoothly and the computer seems to wrok at a nice speed with no sign of freezing but just no sound in general. Not sure if I will and install it again from a fresh disc but I do like the look of Pinnacle in terms of really quick and easy editing. Premier feels alot more proffessional and I'm used to the functions but it seems you can avoid alot of the fussing about using Pinnacle. Will keep a look out and try out a computer swap meet I know of this weekend. Sulio
  5. The files imported from the camera are TS files (Transport Stream). I believe the new version of Pinnacle can cope with it but the sound issue is most likely system related as you have suggested. I also thought it might be a sound card issue, already tried a driver update and a few new codec installs. Not sure of the model but it's name appears under soundMAX in properties. I've got a Lenovo dual 2.4Gig processor with 2Gig of RAM so it should cope on the detiing front easily. Looking at a editing comparison between about 10 different editing sweets Premiere Pro CS4 seems pretty good as far as running various HD formats including AVCHD so I'll try and get my hands on that. yer 6.5 is a bit old although it was fine for the older miniDV stuff. Have you got CS3 on a disc? hmmm...just noticed PM's better check. Sulio
  6. Ben, I'll check it out. Steve, log in details do not work. Thanks, Sulio
  7. Hi Fella's, I've had some issues with getting Premiere Pro 6.5 on the HD footage I have from Thredbo in that I have to convert it to AVI's and it's a pain with a lot of freeze's. I've got a full version of Pinnacle Studio 12 Ulimate (thanks Ash) and works a treat with TS files from HD but for some reason the whole program has no sound. Not sure why. Tried to install twice with no luck getting sound, tried for hours to rectify it, no luck. Anyhow after doing a comparison between a few formats it appears that PREMIERE PRO CS4 is the way to go. Can anybody help me on this one if you know what I mean, hoping to find a full install!?? Another one I've looked at it Sony Vegas Pro but better to stick with the Adobe as I'm familiar with 6.5. Thanks in advance. Sulio
  8. Here's the first interview with Vince... http://www.370z.com.au/#reason/151 Sulio
  9. Welcome Will, Theres a few bloke here running triples so I'm sure you'll find what your looking for. I have dellorto's on mine but 40's, fairly stock motor atm but Dells are pretty popular due to low cost as far as this forum goes anyhow. Cheers, Sulio
  10. Those wheels have come up really nice with the yellow and black. Very nice! Sulio
  11. ...is that the sound of crickets I can hear off in the distance?
  12. I always stuble on those keys...my head office is in Sydney and I only catch it about 50% of the time but my fingers must be dislexic. yer...we need to keep as many Z's in Vic as we can. Sulio
  13. The fella I work with put some 22" wheels on his Territory and had to roll his gaurds. It was easily done and no visible marks to paint. I do beleive there is a tool that bolts to the hub specifcially for rolling the gaurds. They heat the area with a heat gun just enough to keep the paint from cracking. 18. Hi Guys, Thanks all for the feedback fellas. Bruce thank you for the offer, I think I'll just pick them both up from Dimitri rather than going to two places. Bruce do you mind holding to the fronts you have just in case there is an issue with the set i get from Dimitri. Thanks Bruce, Dimitri! Lurch, yes I've heard this from quite a few people running just heavier oild nad getting good results. I figure I'll set em up with coilovers to reduce the initial cost and later get adjsuta ble inserts like Aluminas when cash allows. I've got a 74 260z with the shorter rear stutt towers so shocks should be the same front and back. I want to stiffen the rears to keep the tyres from rubbing. Just to put it out there I will have a set of heavy duty lowered King Springs for sale, the ones o the car atm. They sit the car at a really nice height. I've noticed some of the "lowered" Springs people buy don't really lower the car much but mine have been really good. So send me a PM if you want me to put them away for you, cost $100 for the 4. Ride is firm but comfortable. Sulio
  19. aha good work Columbo, we'll find him! Sulio
  20. I'm also inetersted, will have athink about poundage and get back to you Ben. Cheers, Sulio
  21. Hi Guys, I'm after a set of used 260z seater (to fit a 74) original shocks. I beleiev they can be rebuilt with heavier oil!? Can anyone confirm this to be the case with standard KYB's? I did'nt think these can be re-oiled? Thanks Sulio
  22. Hi Mick, I would be keen to see that suction cup camera holder your getting. I don't think I'm gonna bring the video camera to this trip as my miniDV is plying up, (too many drops I think) and i want to enjoy the driving. Will bring my digital SLR and just enjoy taking some photos rather than rushing to do too much. Hey just a side note to everyone, I can't emphasize how much better the drive is when you have a UHF cb radio in the car. Try and get one of the hand held ones off e-bay, go for a 5 watter as less power will annoy you. We are using them for all these drives so it's a great investment and keeps you in the loop whilst driving rather than just follwoing and wondering things like "why are they stopping here?" or "bummer, wish I had known about that speed camera evrybody else got the heads up on!". Cheers, Sulio
  23. except for a few points, -you have established you don't really need a daily, -the fact still remains that your 260 only need minor dollars spent to keep it on the road, -even though you don;t need a dialy it is always nice to have transport, -from my current reading the log book system for CH plates might not be too far away and from the letter I have read about a month ago that was sent to the RTA from various clubs they are heading to a 90 day log book system with possible option of 45 days, so cheap to run your historric if it's only for the occasional drive, fingers crossed it does'nt get delayed for too much longer! Another note, if you plan to move out don;t spend any cash at the moment on a new car. Move out and work out what your disposable income really is vs doing a budget on what you think it might be. Sulio
  24. Ahhhr Dave, you can't miss this one! Sulio
  25. Had a second look, they are actually Falken RX04VIII tyres(245x45x17). The previous tyres were Michelin P6000 Pilots, 255x40x17. Funny thing is the Falkens are wider due to the squarer shoulder on them, ha tyre sizes are so often so different!? The Falkens are at about 50% tread but enough to see me through til this extension is done. It was raining when I got back and fitted the rims back on the car but I thought stuff it I'll try em out expecting alot of wheel spin with semi slicks and wet road. They were gripping quite well even causing the front traded Conti's to slid before they would break loose!? very surprising, maybe a sign of how bad the last rears had got (to the trheads!) Sulio
