Nissan 2400 CC Valve covers and HS30 build cars.
gav240z replied to gav240z's topic in General Discussions
Update on this, Carl Beck reckons the 2400 OHC cover was fitted up until around July 1970. Current BAT listing for: HLS30 08883 (Build 8/1970) https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-69/ L24-012699 (E31 block) Nissan 2400 OHC cover The car is: HS30 00084 had L24-013021 so a slightly higher engine number. -
Here is 1 worth watching. Safari Gold Barn Find. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-69/

Let's hope it's not too many years from now! Still collecting NOS panels for her. I think the body work won't take too long, but to get it truly OEM in finish and parts etc.. is going to take years! So to be technically finished (possibly never) but to have it assembled, driving and looking good hopefully much sooner! Oh and I still need to collect that L24 engine and 71A gearbox off you. I'm sure you'd like it out of your way.

A few more photos, we still haven't got the professional photos from the wedding photographer yet. Evie has been the third wheel in this relationship since the beginning. So the missus and Evie and I have been together for nearly 16 years now (since 2002). It was fitting that it featured heavily on our big day. Even my sister and her husband tried to up stage us with a pose with the car. I was tempted to give the 240z a Scandinavian flick as we arrived in the church (see all that gravel) but decided probably best not to, didn't want to upset the natives (locals).

Think it's a Greek / Italian thing. I'm lucky there was no sugar coated almonds. I hear they really hurt.

Early hubcap moulds. https://bangkok.craigslist.co.th/pts/d/z-cover-cap-for-hubcap-mold/6714911097.html -
That r100 must have failed to sell, it was listed a couple of weeks ago and got to around $67k. http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0006-7729701/motor-vehiclesmotor-cycles/1971-mazda-r100-familia-presto-rotary-gs-manual-coupe Someone else flagged some issues... It seems that there was a number of issues flagged with it, it had the later style straight dashboard which was a JDM only thing. Then there was the high-spec garnishes on the rear tail lamps (didn't match the dashboard spec) and apparently it was being sold alongside some other early rotary cars that were all painted up for auction (closed door style re-spray jobs). So it seems like that may have limited it's value / bidding activity. Maybe the new buyer is not happy with it? Or cannot afford it.

Thanks guys, the topic had me confused. But funny to see this thread today. I am still finding rice everywhere, we got pelted for what felt like 10 mins. The car was great and I had fun driving it on the wedding day. Big thanks to @Léon who helped with some last minute fettling on the Thursday before and taking time out from working on customers cars to help get everything ready. I will have to post a bigger recommendation for your business in the appropriate section. I was also impressed by his ability to dance like a true African with those big jumps in the air. I'm glad we got an 80s band too!

Work Equip Wheels. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1868508416566487 Probably a little narrow at 6.5" for a 240z, look good on a Roadster however. -
It may be a specific ad unit causing a problem. So I wouldn't say it's entirely fixed yet, but definitely try clearing cache as a solution.

Yes donating members don't see ads (when signed in). I actually suspect it's related to Google AdSense not so much the forum software. I noticed a similar problem with some Gumtree listings the other day. Thanks, going to be tricky to test that, since I don't have an iOS device handy. If this is still happening, please let me know? PS: Can you guys please try clearing cache and cookies also? When I upgraded the website I had to flush the local server cache to clear all the template files. However your local browsers may still be caching the older versions of a template / files and this may also be a factor here.

Hey guys, What web browsers are you using? I'm not seeing this problem with Google Chrome on a MacBook Pro. I'm interested in your web browser and potentially version of it also? Might be good to know if you're on iOS, Android, Macbook or PC?
-
Well it fell short of the $3m speculated price tag. https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/phase-iv-gtho-xa-falcon-sells-for-2-million
-
Hmm well that's annoying I'll have a look at the settings.
-
Is it 1 particular type of ad? Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing? @Enzo I've added you to donating members group. I don't think anyone has donated as much as you have! Donating members don't get ads.
