  1. Hi Guys, I have heard good things about Rebello Racing and they seem to know how to build some powerful L-series engines. I think they have a 280HP motor set up using Twin SU's. Anyway Here is the link: http://www.rebelloracing.com/index.htm Drool away .
  2. This joke just gets funnier. I hope any "actual" mexican's reading the forum don't take it in the wrong light. It's kind of like how we call Brisbane, Brisvegas .
  3. Only found in the Japanese Market, cars outside of Japan are private imports and I don't know of any myself. They fetch a large amount of coin and only really change hands privately. Perhaps head over to www.grandjdm.com and send them an email about prices, they seem to be fairly clued in on the Japanese market.

  5. 10k sounds very reasonable and quite a steal for an RB powered car. Good luck with it.
  6. Nice pick up. Leonard, can you clarify the details of this car? If not your listing will be removed within 48 hours.
  7. Yeah I dunno, he sent me an email with 280zx for Sale That was about it.
  8. not sure, but i think i used the same car in the header of my banner on my blog http://datsun-240z-blog.viczcar.com/ Likewise if I get over that way I'd be happy to look him up . If I get to Sweden I'm hoping to meet up with Filip? (Mull) with the crazy project videos.
  9. Great looking car, certainly worth looking at for those after a clean early Z in original condition.
  10. Another wild Z similar in a way. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=VEWQJbcK4R8&NR=1
  11. Hey Guys, I was gonna post this car a while ago. I even thought about doing a feature article, but I want more Aussie cars as features so I'm trying to hold off featuring US based cars (where I can). Anyway I actually think its pretty cool looking. Its definitely had some serious coin spent on it. I'd love some of the parts he has on the car (not the single Holley mind you). I'm actually surprised he didn't opt for a V8 as most would with such a conversion. He gives it a bit of stick in one of the videos seems to have decent bite so probably a pretty worked L-series in it. I think the quality of workmanship is quite high and I do love the Cobra myself. Its kind of a combination of 60's / 70's style fused to form a concept car. Its certainly alot better than other attempts I've seen over the years. Given that its a US 260z (RLS30) 2 seater and not a 240z I don't actually mind it being modded like this. Although usually I prefer a standard 240z as I feel there's no need to alter perfection .
  12. Eddii, Pedders quoted me something like $250 for all 4 corners for the bump stop with integrated dust boot. I found a site in the US (will try digging) that had all 4 for $80 US with postage. As PZG302 said, you may or may not need them. My opinion is that if I'm spending money on my suspension (Tokico's) I'd want to spend a little more protecting them from dust / water and other crud + stop them from bottoming out with the bump stop.
  13. Should probably go for one that looks like its been well cared for and in good condition. If your worried you won't get to do much work to it, don't worry about that. We car enthusiasts always find something that needs "improving". Buying a well restored car will save you many thousands of dollars. On a separate note I've seen a few women driving Zeds over the years. I've also heard of quite a few actually getting out on the track for a run. My girlfriend sometimes checks in on the site, but doesn't really get involved in the forums. Your not alone another words.
  14. I do, makes me laugh . Although from where I'm living your all Mexicans .
  15. Given that there were only around 7000 S30 chassis imported into Australia. I'd say that a membership of 800+ is pretty good. I didn't realise we received so few 240z's. That list also shows no Zeds made it to Ireland, no wonder I've seen a total of one here and it was LHD so obviously imported . Do you know how accurate those figures actually are?

Discussion on Google about Veggie Power http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=459807 I wonder if they could adapt a Rotary to work with this? It would need to compress the fuel and have glow plugs, but hey could be awesome?

There was a LD28 powered Z in the US a while ago that ran on Veggie oil. It went onto Ebay not sure where it is now. With the way fuel and oil and going, maybe it will be a viable option for us Zed enthusiasts in the future. http://forum.conceptcarz.com/forums/thread/38136.aspx http://greenyes.grrn.org/2004/09/msg00087.html
  19. Good way to burn your calves getting out of the car. I'm going to go with this on my Z

Looks pretty quick actually. I thought it would be a pig.
  21. C'mon guys, you should know better. Stop hijacking the thread. Mossy i've read various dicussions that state not all Zeds are exactly the same in terms of dimensions. Due to the manufacturing process of the 70's compared with today some Zcars vary slightly in dimensions. This is why you see the adjustable strut braces for early Zed cars. You know the ones with the threaded ends on each side. If it doesn't fit, its probably worth returning to the manufacturer and either getting a custom made one or buying one that is adjustable.
  22. I was going to say the same thing funnily enough. Not too long ago there was a 260z 2+2 on Carsales.com.au or something equivalent it had an Rb30 turbo in it. There was also a Turbo L28 260z 2+2 a little while ago aswell. So cars with conversions and money spent do come up from time to time. It may pay to wait a while until the right car comes along. That being said the "cheapest" isn't always the best way. When it comes to building engines 300 cheap Horse Power is very different to 300 reliable HP. I'd say one of the most attractive routes would be to buy an SR20 or RB20 and slot it into a 260z 2+2. That will get you your goal relatively easily, but it won't be cheap. It never is.
  23. Sulio Sulio, always trying to sell other people's cars. You should be a car dealer mate. hehe
