  1. Dunno about this one. The content of the thread may offend some. Possibly not work safe. Viewer use own discretion.
  2. I should see if I can get my mum to take my Zed down. Its run out of rego though, so not sure what I could do.

    Center vent chromed

do you know who does this kind of chrome work? Would be useful for rear tail light chrome area and obviously heater panels etc..
  4. LOL, nice one.
  5. Touche, you are now a donating member. Nice work on the banner. You're making Sulio even more famous than he needs to be .
  6. You have become quite the expert on Triples Sulio, I'm impressed. Will have to bring my Mikuni's around to you when I get around to fitting them. Can't wait really, I'm sure I'll love the sound of Triples in the morning .
  7. Welcome good to see more owners in Queensland .
  8. You might try ebay first, I often see these listed. The 260z rpm gauge should be the same as the 280z (US version). If you don't have any luck there, you could try some Zcar wreckers in Australia. Try looking in these sections: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/board,9.0.html http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/board,20.0.html
  9. Great are you maintaining the calendar? I didn't even realise. Good to see you got it worked out though. If you want me to add any reminders in the upcoming events box of the front page just let me know. You know the box below the latest forum activity?
  10. Hi Everyone, Had someone email me about his early Zed last night. Was interested to know how many other low vin numbers were out there. I said I wasn't sure and that www.wazcars.com had a registry for Aus and NZ cars, however since many people still don't know about that website, I thought it would be fun to see who owns the lowest vin number and see if we can get an idea of how many first gen 240z's are still flying around our roads. 260z or 2+2 owners - Feel free to post your numbers too. Maybe we can even have a draw and the car in each category with the lowest VIN wins a prize? (not sure what to giveaway just yet though) We could categorise by 240z - First Gen 240z - Second Gen 260z - First Gen 260z - Second Gen 260z 2+2 - First Gen 260z 2+2 - Second Gen 280zx - First Gen 280zx - Second Gen So post your numbers and if possible include other relevant details (if known). Here is the template (suggestions welcome) Chassis Prefix: Chassis Number: Manufacture Year: Original Paint Colour (Code): Original Interior Colour: Manual Or Auto: Owners Details Owners Name: Current State Vehicle Is In: On Road / Under Restoration: Please try and avoid going off topic in the thread and keep replies to the template if possible. If you know of an owner with a car who is not a member but is happy to have the details posted please feel free to do so. For tips on where to find chassis numbers and more see: http://www.xenons30.com/VIN.html *thanks for the suggestion Hunter
  11. Looking good mate, great work. You must be really pleased with it.
  12. Chrome looks good on the rear garnish, very RX3 style .

    Again.

Cool looks neat. Nice find. :?:
  14. Here's a wild looking 2+2. Quite like the dual exhaust out the middle. Great if you are after a V8 conversion. Buy it now $16k http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-260z-drag-show-street-v8-custom-engineered_W0QQitemZ320314088413QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320314088413&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A3%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Item number: 320314088413
  15. Thats awesome, be good to break that record.
  16. How about making this a nation wide thing? Every state tries to get together as many zeds as possible for a photo shoot. We can post all the pics in our gallery / front page for a Merry Christmas message . If we got really enthusiastic we could try and get the US and Canada in on it. See how many Zeds can get together in one place for a photo shoot. Maybe turn it into a 2009 Z Calendar. Call it Zeds around the world. What do others think?
  17. Hey guys, I can relate to what you say about feature cars being built by owners. I am happy to feature any car (really!), my biggest hurdle has been getting information from owners. I try contact people who I think have nice cars or I think our community would like to read about. However I often need photos and some details on the car (so I can put the nice little table of specs together). Many owners are enthusiastic but either get busy or don't get back to me for a month or two. I understand this, no problems. I'm busy too, so I only put these together once a month or once every two months as that's when I find the time. I have contacted Dimitri (Zedman240) who has done a load of the work himself and just finished his RB25 conversion. I'm looking forward to putting it together. As I say I'm happy to feature any car (as long as its related or our members find it interesting) - sorry George I don't think our members would be that enthusiastic about a Mazda 323 . I would definitely like to feature more Australian Zeds - since it is an Aussie Z site. Its just that the US has so MANY nice Zeds to feature also .
  18. The Love Shack (Image Shack) images are only thumbnails. I want full sized pixels. Car looks really hot. Definitely very mean, would love to see full size pics.
  19. Ok thanks guys. I've been in contact with the owner of a 400-500HP RB25DET Green 240z in the states, but he's a little slow to reply.

  21. Looking for a new car to feature on the home page. Its getting a bit stale there now. I've had a few owners I've emailed but agreeing to do one and actually getting the info together can sometimes take a couple of months. Anyone know of a car to feature? Anyone want their car featured?
  22. LOL I either missed this comment the first time or ignored it. Well if you think our members would be interested lets get it typed up. Might be a bit more interesting if it had a 13b motor in it though!

    260 Gearbox

That's great, and what a price. I have a 260z box with a stuffed 2nd gear synchro, getting parts for the 260z box is a bit of a pita though.
  24. Its a legitimate question to ask, but as you say you'll need some deep pockets. You can still get these items new from Japan, but depends on budget. As Dimitri says above though, its probably easier to get your existing one reskinned. Also there is a mob out there http://www.dashboardrestorations.com.au/ who might be able to help with both.
