  1. I'll say, snipered twice on this one. I wanted to buy both and stick 1 on ebay. They go for upward of $800 AU here. Don't spose you have anymore of those ultra rare L14 rods? Another 4 and I have 2 sets of 6 . I'm collecting rare Zed parts for retirement lol.
  2. Sound advice that heater tap is prone to leaks and getting that speedo cable back in is a pita. I know cause mine snapped at one point. Might want to replace all the bulbs in the dash too. I think the 260z heater panel is easier to remove than the 240z one. Have fun! I knew Dashboard restoartions would come around once they noticed demand . - Too much work pfft what's that all about.
  3. That's a cool story (literally) and I love the photo's especially the last one through the puddle. I also like how you can see other old cars in those photo's I noticed the old Corolla Ke20? I think, almost looks like a TE27 .
  4. Hey mate, PM me how much you want for the crank. I'm interested in picking up a spare and if I can get it on a container and save on shipping all the better.
  5. I spoke to Dashboard Restorations not too long ago. They said they were no longer doing 240z / 260z dashes. If the reason is that its too time consuming, simply charge the required amount to make it profitable for the business. I asked them to jump on the forum because people were asking questions about dashboard restoration. It seems that there would be at least 10-20 Auszcar members who would use their service. Anyone else find it strange? Perhaps if enough people send emails to them about it, they will revoke their decision. http://www.dashboardrestorations.com.au/
  6. Sounds very tempting, I'm not in a rush to receive them as I'm working in Dublin / Ireland. So I just need them delivered whenever they can get there. Will send PM.
  7. Wow Hawt!!!!!! Love the style.
  8. Just wondering what you guestimate shipping to be to Melbourne postcode 3162 for Crankshaft? Might be interested in rods too, at right price .
  9. I would love a set of these myself. Can I ask what they set you back? Watanabe's and Zeds were made for each other IMHO .
  10. Bring a spare distributor, I drove to Goulburn from Melbourne without a hitch. Left it it sit overnight and the electronic distributor must have retained some moisture or something as the module on the side of it stopped working, meaning no spark. So take an extra working distributor is my advice.

  12. Thanks Rev,saved me trying to work out how I would buy this bargain.
  13. Before anyone asks, yes I'm envious but what does a fella with 20+ Zeds do?
  14. This topic has been moved to Classifieds. [iurl]http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=3484.0[/iurl]
  15. Just in case he's unfamiliar with the caps lock he can always use this reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caps_lock .
  16. Depends on what's been done to it. If I was in the market for a totally original concourse car I could justify paying up to $35k for it myself. Especially an early 1970 240z with the vented hatch and other unique bits. Serial number less than 400. If its just a well rebuilt car but not concourse standard I would pay anywhere from 20-30k. I would pay less for a 260z 2 seater though, probably at most $20k. Perhaps as part of this thread we should attach images of cars we have seen around the net and what we think they would be worth if they were on the market? Obviously I wouldn't want to offend anyone though, so we should say this is just subjective and the open market could yeild different results.
  17. Welcome mate, seen you on CZC forum and seen your website on the 240K's. Good to see you here now. I think you did well with the 240z, not many at that price now-a-days.
  18. What Lurch is trying to say is that this car has been discussed and posted about before. If you look under datsun-jay 's posts you will find the original thread. FWIW I think its a great looking 2+2, if I get back to Dublin when Jay is still there I'd love to see it in person / even possibly do a front page write up on it too.
  19. Hi Eiji Good to see you on our forum. I'm sure many of our members have read the article on your ZG replica. Do you have a photo of the 77-78 OZ 260z style you are looking for? Looking forward to more of your posts.
  20. Gosh, been in Thailand for nearly 1 week and haven't been checking in on the site and all this happens lol. 1.) He didn't use the For Sale Template. 2.) He didn't mention that the car would require shipping to the US or what price for Australian residents. He obviously wants to flog a car and is post whoring every zcar website out there. This is common practice, I've seen it many times. (Of course I may be wrong here, but this is what it looks like to me). I think perhaps a little more tact would have been nice. However if someone joins this website they should take the time to read our forum rules and sticky threads.
  21. Beat me to it . Item number: 330298978717 Buy It Now: AU $2,500.00 Looks pretty rough, bits of rust. Pretty much a shell but possibly complete. Good value I'd say.
  22. Really? I thought rotary engines were light weight? Since they are so small and didn't have all that valve train gear and conrods / pistons to worry about.
  23. My Alibi is that I'll be in Dublin and I'm not part of this global crime syndicate you have going on here.
  24. I want to see a 20B turbo in a 240z / 260z or 280zx . Light weight and awesome performance. Now that would be unique and I imagine a rotary weighs in alot less than a piston engine?
  25. That's awesome. I love photoshop, but having a 3d model would be even better. I love custom paint jobs but I don't want to waste money on something that won't sit right. Evan, didn't even realise you photoshopped it. Upon closer inspection its obvious now, but at first I thought that's how it was. Well done I guess. The old race 240z's are great for paint job ideas.
