  1. http://m.theage.com.au/national/stolen-car-rorts-exposed-in-clampdown-as-cops-change-tack-20141002-10p9qi.html Sadly after a couple of s30z's got stolen I think they may have ended up having their organs removed. Pays to be extra vigilent.
  2. Hi Guys, Quick question, but what glue do you use to adhere the vinyl in the S30z to the shock towers, and trans tunnel etc..? And more specifically where can I find it?
  3. Sorry it's an automatic word filter. Set up to sanitise words used that might require eye soap. I've now removed it.
  4. Agreed not sure why it hasn't sold yet. Worth doing.
  5. Maze runner. It was Resident Evil + Hunger Games + The Cube mashed together. I'd give it 6/10 likely to appeal most to tween market.
  6. Shame about the hole in the roof of this 1 in the US. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-Series-240z-1973-datsun-240-z-restored-with-upgrades-/271620486597 I like this photo though..
  7. and here I am wondering how I might get 2 seats to Melbourne... this guy is a genius. That is some serious logistical skills. Those Asians got mad skilz.
  8. Sorry those images are empty in size.
  9. Yeah Poll had 6 choices only, so I went with the more likely option. If I could ad 'laid up' I would have.
  10. Also Dremel now has a 3D printer. http://3dprinter.dremel.com/ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NA00MWS Almost worth buying 1 to see how good it is.
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-FAIRLADY-Z-240Z-260Z-280Z-510-KPGC10-FENDER-MIRRORS-BASE-NEW-PAIR-/310977821275 US $29.99 +$10 shipping..
  12. HLS300182 on eBay US. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-Series-240Z-Series-1-AWESOME-240Z-240-z-BARN-FIND-INCREDIBLY-RARE-Low-Vin-Collector-AMAZING-/161438375051 If you believe the rhetoric ... What the poor gentlemen means to say is that it's the 182nd HLS30 built. Still be interesting to see what price it fetches, already at $5k USD with 6 days to go
  13. Poll added.
  14. A good chance it still exists, I'm always surprised how many have been kept away from the crusher. Unfortunately not the same can be said about the tin-worm.
  15. 9020 Likes! Now that is something..
  16. I'd say 2+2's are pretty rare these days, but there is certainly still too many of them on the market to help move prices up. How many 2+2's did we get? It seems we sold lots of them here, the 2 seaters are definitely in smaller numbers. However good 2+2's are certainly rare, lots of tatty automatics with bad paint jobs running the stock L26 with the flat tops. However once they decline further in numbers I think you'll see prices go up. I don't see any Z's on the road in Sydney these days. I'm lucky if I see a 2+2 let alone a 2 seater. Even a 280zx is getting hard to find, I saw 1 for the first time in ages the other day.
  17. Only problem with that is these days finding a good 2+2 under 10K usually doesn't get you much. Or you get a car that looks good from far, but is far from good. Read dodgy paint work etc.. But if you're lucky you may find a car stored away with an owner not sure what to ask for it.
  18. G = 2+2 R = 260z S30 = Model family 000970 = Pretty early 2+2 - so maybe 1974? If it doesn't have rear seats, it's likely someone removed them for the extra luggage space? The 1/4 windows are the giveaway.
  19. If I can source a brand new '260z' version with the 'flash' or 'pass' button on it. I'll let you know.
  20. I'd say it's due to reservation booking of that section of the SMH and just a co-incidence that there is a Nissan sponsor ad placement in an article talking about the 240z among other Japanese classics, but you're correct it would be a good opportunity to place 370z ads in there. I saw this Bring a Trailer link earlier. http://bringatrailer.com/2011/09/05/mystery-stocker-1971-mazda-r100/ People were baulking at the price of an R100 coupe in the US, some Aussie flew in bought it and went home again haha.. I guess we value the old rotor coupe's more in Australian then in the US of A. Some interesting comments in that article all the same. A mint original R100 coupe is uber rare! Makes me laugh that they questioned it going over 11K
  21. 240k Coupe - Asking 36k http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/molendinar/cars-vans-utes/datsun-240-k-gt-rare-1973-model-fully-restored-registered/1058014950
  22. That radiator support damage may be holding it's value back. But it shouldn't be too difficult to rectify and could be driven and enjoyed relatively easily.
  23. Came across this photo the other day. Caesar's Palace Formula 1 in 1981. I love the DATSUN sign in the background.
  24. Yeah, this is another more recent article. http://www.smh.com.au/advertisers/brand-discover/nissan/cars-as-investment/ Which is a bit more pragmatic about the advice given. Along with this 1. http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/classic-car-prices-cooling-off-16822#.VCohcymSxY8
