  1. Got an antenna switch from Andy, thanks mate. Call off the search .
  2. It would work on a build like this.
  3. I probably shouldn't like this but I do. http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b170172098
  4. No but I was looking at the option, but I managed to get a good pair of second hand door cards for both my S30z's. However if I was to do this again I'd look at the fiberglass backing and new material like the link above. Simply because the masonite warps with moisture and where the clips go on the rear side the masonite always deteriorates or breaks. With the cost of OEM units being anywhere from $600 - $1000 depending on where you shop this seems like a sensible more durable alternative, of course if a concourse restoration is your goal. Well you can only really opt for OEM. But maybe nobody would notice if you didn't? .
  5. No problem please give us your feedback if you buy a set and install new skins on them?

    OXY WELDING

The rods are mild steel, it's been a long time since I did brazing at school in the 90s lol.. But I recall it being similar. I'd say you would pick it up very fast.
  7. I spoke to Wayne who said he was going to give knocking 1 up a go, but I don't think it will be under $1000 AUD at this stage. Not sure if I'll be importing any roof turrets yet, got something else on the boil but not sure how it's going to pan out yet.
  8. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/50701-2015-what-did-you-do-towith-your-z-today/?p=467948 http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/50701-2015-what-did-you-do-towith-your-z-today/page-8 Available here: http://frpautomotive.com/frp_price_list_page.html Door card left £65.00 Door card right £65.00 A great option over the original masonite stuff.
  9. @Len - this 240z was also white and blue combo. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=3365.5 I'd kill to know how many were sold in that combination in Australia. As you say the dealer said it wasn't even available. I've not seen many if any of them in that combo come up for sale here apart from the car in that thread above.
  10. The story behind Len's 240z and how he came to own it.
  11. More photos of Len Brennan's 240z racing. Sadly Len doesn't know the original Chassis # or Engine # of the car. But along with those photos he told me this. *Edit to include third photo. Len tells me.
  12. Yeah please do, I'd love to go for a short drive in it (you driving of course). Never been in a car of that vintage.
  13. Now that's cool, something different to see on the road.
  14. I'm wondering what the FRP bonnet looks like on the underside, would be good if it looks like the 432-R style FRP hood. I suspect we'll be seeing more competition S30z's with this as an option.
  15. Looking forward to seeing the grille on the car. So many things to be said about that, but should probably leave that alone.
  16. Yeah no wonder the 2+2s are going up in value, when they can look that good! I'd cry too if I put in all that hard work. With that orange paint I reakon the chrome trim headlight covers would look awesome on the front end, but shame about how expensive they are.
  17. Ross' GTO has sold and is heading to Toowoomba.
  18. Good to hear from you again mate, can't imagine how busy a parent makes someone. I'm exhausted as it is and I only have a dog to worry about.

Updated images so they are no longer broken. Set topic as sticky also.
  20. Hi Paul, Updated links to pics so they should be working again. Let me know if you need anything changed?
  21. Wheels on your car look similar to this, although a little bit different? Impul G5s by Hoshino Racing photo here:http://www.official-automotive.com/index.php?do=/news/newsdetails/item_1049/nac-nz-drift-nationals-one-day-winner-takes-all/
  22. Not sure what the significance of this steering wheel is? http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h201853423 Izumi made competition steering wheel S30Z Hakosuka But a lot of bidding and ~$1,500 AU later it sold..
  23. In my current spare time I'm trying to figure out how to migrate the site from various databases and consolidate into 1 piece of software. I'll be able to show you what it looks like when it's finished. So right now trying to better understand SQL and read some PHP scripts and modify them to work with what I need. I've put this job off for so long because I know it never goes smoothly. Looking forward to it though.... Work has been keeping me pretty busy (excuses excuses I know), so not much done on the S30z I'm afraid... . I want to tackle a few things like the floors but I'm a bit nervous about messing it up. Must just get stuck into it.
  24. Holden Perentti on eBay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/holden-perentti-hq/321761722174 Not my cup of tea.. but hey it takes all types right?
