  1. Ron has been busy, he's knocked up a cool looking box to house Oscillators in. They haven't been plated yet. That's happening soon.

  3. What's interesting is that HS30 00204 had L24 - 018042. HS30 00208 had L24 - 018074 So quite a large range difference between engine no. and chassis. HS30 00291 had L24 - 021354 HS30 00297 had L24 - 021352 So kind of gives you an idea as to how haphazard engine blocks were assigned to cars in the factory.
  4. HS30 00204 or bits of it live on in a later 260z shell. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1434-i-need-to-find-out-what-model-260z-2-seater-i%E2%80%99ve-got/
  5. In 2007 Dale mentions HS30 00513 which is apparently pale yellow. I don't think we've seen or heard from this car since. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/708-build-date-help/?p=5586
  6. There's none left to come out of the woodwork... That's why they are so expensive.
  7. Tea Valley Restored S30Z. http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g202508153 Current starting bid. 5,000,000 yen (AU$60,950.00) Not sure why it says 44mm Solex carbs, they look like 40mm Type R carbs to me.
  8. http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k240463282 4,000,000 yen (AU$48,760.00) I wonder if this was an AU car imported back to Japan and converted to ZG specification? Seems awfully cheap for a genuine HS30-H.
  9. The 2 seater (240z ones) are getting difficult to find. 260z ones have slightly different rear brackets but I suppose could be changed over to 240z style ones.

    N47 Head

Yes it is... there is 2 versions. N47 on the L28 for the 280z and the MN47 used on the Maxima which I believe was an L24 block. The MN47 has the better combustion chamber. The N47 is well... a round port N42 really. Should update the cylinder head thread actually. I don't think we have those heads in there.
  11. Well my dog's previous owners, mum's, cousin said in 1969 she saw a funny looking Japanese bloke down on the docks of San Francisco removing all the homoesque Fairlady Z badges and replacing them with "240z" ones. True Story #alternativeFactsDontLie
  12. Datsun 240K coupe for sale in QLD. https://www.facebook.com/groups/downunderdatsuns/permalink/1420017771350816/
  13. Pretty sure that video "triggers" Alan (member HS30-H) into a rage.

    N47 Head

Isn't that the Maxima head? Is the combustion chamber like the P90? I'm thinking it's similar to an E88e head? Ports square or round?
  15. Love the rotor
  16. Buy it now changed to $14k. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/REDUCED-TO-SELL-1971-toyota-crown-COUPE-suit-ra28-celica-datsun-240k-240z-/162354394989
  17. Get your own thread!
  18. I believe the bezels are exactly the same, it's just the garnish piece that's a bit wider on a 2+2..But the lamps themselves are the same.
  19. RE: homogeneous main system, and Independent main system The difference appears to be in the Jet Block area. But in order to see it, you need to remove it and look at the under side (the side facing the accelerator pump area). This is the jet block out of my Mikuni 44 (N44PHH-A11) body. Homogenous Independent This is the the jet block out of the Type4 (5 screw lid) set of 44's. (ignore the fact that jets are still installed in this block). If you look at the pilots, you can see at the bottom of the homogenous type, the holes are blocked off. This is because the pilot and main system is shared. If you look at the independent system you'll see holes at the bottom - so the pilot and main are separate from each other. I'm going to quote an email from Lou Mondello taken from here: http://311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=16501&start=150#p138683
  20. D Caps. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/142258000895?ul_noapp=true Starting bid: $999 USD. Will need restoration work.
  21. So some news on this, been looking into logistics and have my first set of Topy Wheels (this set of 5 are 68 date stamped from a Datsun Roadster. 4.5j x 14inch - TOPY 10-684 1/2 J x 14 62H) on their way to a Warehouse. Once I confirmed they have arrived. I'll look at sending more to the same location for shipment. A couple of folks have asked, but Roadster wheels are the same, apart from little nubs or tabs on the inner rim surface for fitment of the earlier style hubcaps. These can be ground off if required. The 65 and earlier roadsters had 13" wheels and different offset so ideally you want 66+ Roadster wheels which are 4.5j like early 240z's. Nubs/Tabs. You can just see them in this pic. Roadster hubcaps.
  22. Those 2x 2+2's could be an excellent deal.
  23. Hi Jim, Impossible to suggest a value without photos to see condition. It's a 2 seater which is a positive. I'd say for a rusty bucket anywhere from 5-10k depending on "How much rust" of course and based on your description. You can see a for sale template here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/936-must-read-classifieds-rules/ To get an idea of price trawl through the last few pages here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1924-cars-for-sale-3rd-party-sites-ebay-carsales-etc/page-237
