Man after taking my 240z out when I was in Melbourne on a 35 degree day I concur, I think I'll need to install some kind of air con in the future. I was roasting in it.

These are a slightly earlier style, I believe available in the Sports Option Catalog. The only way I can usually tell the difference is the Wing Nut holding the lid for the jets, and the cover also has Kogyo cast in it. Can anyone confirm if these are in fact N44PHH-A11 carbs? They have the sticker I believe the A11's are like the ones just below.

Is your 70 model HLS30 or HS30? UK market original car or import?

Not so much bubble talk but Fairlady Roadsters may be the next cars to lift in value. http://www.automobilemag.com/news/1967-1970-datsun-2000-roadster-collectible-classic/

Both built by Star Road and using similar gauges I assume. I just found this. http://skillard.com/products/45-gauge-mounting-bracket Which would help with custom gauge mounting in stock pods. You can also look at SpeedHut for custom gauges etc.. Personally not my thing, so not something I've done much research into. Check this thread out. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/12906-240z-speedhut-gauge-install/

"Nismo" Mikuni / Solex 44 (Type 5). These tend to be known as Nismo colloquially because they were offered through Nismo catalogs in the late 70s, early 80s in North American markets. They have the externally adjustable float with the provision for it to be mounted on either side (dual fuel feed lid), unlike regular s5's. They also came with larger outer venturis too.

I recall being on a tram in Melbourne coming back home from University 1 evening and I hear this massive induction noise and what sounded like a V12 Ferrari coming up past the tram. I was delighted to see an orange S30z buzz past, it must have been fitted with Triple Webers or Mikuni's. Sounded great!

I'm pretty sure they are Defi gauges stuffed into S30Z housings. That car was built by Star Road.

A friend asked for some up close photos of a reskin dash vs OEM material and texture. I figure this thread is as good a place as any to share them. First up OEM (yes the colour is faded but the OEM colour is slightly grey / gray). Next up my restored dashboard (Dashboard Doctor in Coburg Melbourne). At least I'm fairly certain it was them.

There is only 1 (71) wheel at this stage. But I'm looking at multiple sources for these wheels. Going to see if I can co-ordinate shipping them all on 1 pallet.

Funny how cars can also make us sentimental. That's a good memory.

I was gonna say, depot to depot may make it significantly cheaper. Without knowing the address of sender / receiver it may be a remote area which is jacking up the price / quote. Have you tried depot to depot? -
By the way the louvered inspection flaps I bought look like this. They had 6 individual louvers. I'd seen others with only 3 and it didn't tickle me the right way. These look a lot nicer and price was right. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/222367624892?rmvSB=true eBay seller: http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/arizonas30?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 Name: arizonas30 Price: $99 USD + postage. I may give making a set a go if Tafe resume's this year since they had a machine to make these.
