  1. 260z rad support section. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/doreen/auto-body-parts/datsun-260z-radiator-support-panel/1166614576
  2. Hopefully the pictures are explanatory, the roof has had someone oxy weld at the rear (quite skillfully) and hardly any distortion, so would only need slight skim of filler (currently has surface rust making it hard to photograph the exact repair line). The other sections will need a bit more work (rear edge etc..), but at least are at the edges and unlikely to cause distortion. I am after $500 for it. Can potentially delivery within Sydney area, maybe meet somewhere if you're in the greater NSW region. But I've been hanging onto it for a while and it's kind of in the way where it is now. Photos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/egRzHEXxQpKMcIYX2 If you need more details of any section let me know? I was going to use this to patch my sunroof hole or cut out a section to patch my current turret (sunroof hole). Not many of these floating about..nobody wants to cut up 2 seaters now.
  3. Yeah I don't know either, I think that car is a far better prospect than some of the junk under $10k with more holes than swiss cheese.. but what do I know?
  4. I am working on getting a LH side (passenger side) NOS rear 1/4 panel and rear valance section also. So we can always look at getting those re-made based on factory pressings / scanning etc..
  5. here is a nice little bump. https://www.realestate.com.au/news/how-to-turn-you-garage-dreams-into-a-reality/?rsf=ps%3Afacebook%3Anews%3Anat
  6. You have a roof skin already with HS30 00051 you could use instead couldn't you?
  7. #1258 on Trademe.co.nz http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1924-cars-for-sale-3rd-party-sites-ebay-carsales-etc/?p=200888
  8. Across the ditch HS30 for sale.. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1539909578&tm=email&et=45&mt=7F1F0D31-C106-4483-BC9A-C7464ADF110F HS30-01258 Starting bid: $6,500 NZD Listed as a 72, but it's actually a 71.
  9. Can't tell if 2 seater or 2+2 hatch.. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/armadale/other-parts-accessories/260z-rear-hatch-and-sun-blind/1173779760 I'm guessing it's a 2+2 hatch.
  10. Last call on the roof?
  11. What's funny is that before reproductions became available I used to see NOS ones sell for around $700-$800 on Yahoo! Auctions. It seems that since the reproductions became available the NOS ones have soared in value. You would think the opposite would be true. Not sure I can really explain it to be honest..
  12. I actually have found the reproduction mirrors cheaper on Yahoo! Auctions (than ordering via jdm-car-parts) and it's closer to $450 AUD before postage and before auction/broker fees. But I think would work out cheaper than ordering from the US, for those interested.
  13. Hi Folks, Egg on my face, but to those I sent payment details to last night, I made a mistake really sorry. Must have been butter fingers. I put the account no. down as: Account No. XXX035 But it should be: Account No. XXX036 Replace the 5 on the end with a 6 I've obscured the first 3 digits with X's as I don't want to publish them publicly. For those who have made payment it will likely be returned. Again so sorry about that. I also enabled pay to mobile and my phone no. is 0434 520 498 but I haven't actually tried this payment method myself. I think Westpac, BankSA, St George, and Bank of Melbourne support this method only though.. Really sorry about the mess up. That's what I get trying to organise stuff at 12:00 at night.
  14. Understood, I've just looked at some G-nose cars and if your bonnet alignment is not spot on it would be more visible on a car with the extra extension out front. I personally love the G-nose cars, and I think to fully appreciate it you need to see it in person. Photos just don't do it justice (videos help) but I am not looking to derail your thread. Carry on.
  15. Looks like a copy to me.
  16. If anything the RHD shell is worth saving since for some reason it has hipster appeal to have a RHD car in North America. But if it's too much work and you're not keen on the RHD thing. I would list it for sale and focus on a clean minimal rust LHD car.
  17. Back on the market. Nice example. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/Datsun-240Z-1971/SSE-AD-5248598?ret=search-alert&utm_source=internal-carsales-notification-centre-search-alert&utm_medium=email
  18. Quick bump, just counted and I have 30 in supply and of that 21 have been claimed. So there is 9 left.
  19. Problem is most G-noses' are poor copies of the original so who knows how they fit? The factory piece is superb quality and is the best yard stick to use, but good luck obtaining 1.
  20. From Datsun Rally Team Australia. https://www.facebook.com/Datsun-Rally-Team-Australia-896989220348823/
  21. Haha yep, getting the Grand Nose to fit nicely would be a PITA if the car isn't 100% true.
  22. Ahhh hope it's a beautiful thing.. Re: finish on fuel tank looks better than mine did, but I like you wasn't happy with the paint on mine either. I also couldn't get all the dents out of it because it's thin metal and we were worried about puncturing it if we reworked it enough..
  23. My guess is that it's designed to fit this lower lip. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/16613-oem-front-lower-lip-spoiler-reproduction-in-original-polyurethane/
  24. What no. is that car Curtis?
  25. I heard around $230k AUD...
