  1. I plan to drive all mine more often.
  2. Cheap or normal price for such a Ferrari? http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/ferrari-sells-for-more-than-150k-to-nsw-buyer-after-heated-online-auction-started-at-9/news-story/d941ecdf73f3c5565ceb85edef5c6b72

  4. Just an FYI but I believe LHD and RHD latches are different. Might be better off searching eBay US for a LHD latch?
  5. As opposed to those rear doors? Which car? 240z? Not taking deposits yet. Just need to finalise what panels are wanted / needed first.
  6. Can I have my next annual update on this car please?
  7. Agree, by the way here is a bit of Ziggy Stardust for you! https://goo.gl/photos/2CqZgy8DV7GjTfqr7 PS: I love Ziggy, so not offended.
  8. Try here perhaps? http://www.classicdatsun.com/index.html
  9. I was contemplating how I would find somewhere to store it, and I was also looking at how different my bank account would look. . With the 71 #1415 I managed to see it in person before bidding. So that makes a big difference. Hopefully the new owner will show up here! I hope it went to a good home and will be preserved and kept original.
  10. PS30 that was sold by RM Sotheby's not long ago. Wearing nice Central 20 'Z-Sport' aluminium wheels. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/AM17/Amelia-Island/lots/r169-1970-nissan-fairlady-z-432/418110
  11. Good examples here. Pretty sure this is Cracker's old car: HS30 102904 http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/10560-1973-datsun-240z-for-sale-manual-trans-silver-with-red-interior-sold/ And yet more photos of same car and interior here. http://s725.photobucket.com/user/rob082/library/?sort=3&page=1
  12. The vendor is wrong, the first pic is like the factory red colour, the second pic looks like a close match but perhaps reproduction stuff that is "newer" but the last pic is just wrong. Of course colours don't always translate well in photos, but it looks too brown for me. There was a brown / butter scotch interior also, which is what that looks like to me.
  13. Sold for $22,300. I think anything under $25k was a bargain personally but I didn't see it in person. So I'm not sure how good the body is on it. It certainly looked solid in the photos. I have to admit I was tempted to throw a cheeky bid in, but must resist and focus on what I have.
  14. Just sell 1 of those funny Valiant things you have...
  15. Have a bid mate, it's still cheap in my opinion. Would be happy to see you get it.
  16. That was Sean and he had someone else help him in the end. I am not sure what tyre that was but it was out of a 260z. From the thread I linked to it would appear that early 240z's had a different tyre to later ones. *Slightly*. So it's possible 260z ones were different again. Hence why I'd be interested in photos of what people have.
  17. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e275093717 5,951,000 yen (~$72k AUD) for a survivor RX-2 coupe.
  18. https://jalopnik.com/why-datsun-and-nissan-are-among-the-most-important-name-1825841897 Disclosure haven't read it in detail yet.
  19. So here is an interesting exercise (unfortunately my 72 240z) is in Melbourne and I can't check, but don't think it had an OEM spare tyre on it still. My 71 I believe may have also been changed, but i'll double-check because I have those with me (and it's cold and dark outside now). However I know that North American delivered cars had a Bridgestone Spare tyre (RD150 175 HR14). Photos here for reference. I'm wondering if 240z (or possibly 260z) owners can check their spare tyres to see what they have? I was under the impression we had Dunlop Aquajets fitted. This might be helpful thread (from 2003)
  20. Geez what is it with 71 ?.
  21. So I started on this.. Managed to find some 0.75mm thick steel (nice and thin and pliable). So with the indentation (pressed area) in the middle of the bumper and the mounting locations I'm thinking I'll make those separately and then weld those sections into this piece.
  22. I already found your number: HS30 00643 (just forgot). http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14618-elvis-71-240z/
  23. By the way an old thread here on that car. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/2527-71-240z-on-ebay/ Has discussions on how good the car is etc.. from people who saw it.
  24. I didn't think 240z's came in 306 Silver, only 901. I thought 306 was a later 260z shade? Does your engine bay have the paint code sticker still? Seems similar to my car HS30 01415. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/16755-hs30-01415-904-white-and-blue-interior-auto-71/ Do you have any "before" photos?
