Definitely... By the way was that a ferret that came out of the bonnet of that car? I am not sure what it was... looked like a giant rat.

So there is about 500 members impacted by the avatar issue. I'm slowly manually going through them. -

Yes I had the same issue, I think there is some JS issue. Will need to look into it. It worked when I first migrated, but I applied a subsequent patch and I have a feeling that broke it! -

I assume you mean under "Create new stream" I just tried it also and it appears like some kind of bug. I will need to investigate that, as it was working before a minor patch I implemented recently and I'm getting no javascript errors when I try and select the options. So not sure what's going on there. I agree it's a bit overwhelming with all the options. It does however appear to be very flexible. I'll have to check and see if there is a way to configure it to behave like the older version as the default option and allow others to override it, I also think part of it will be just adjusting to how it works. I've got more comfortable with it after the upgrade, but it's still not perfect. -

Can you perhaps give me a few more details? What do you mean it won't accept your request? Also what is your ideal "unread content" view? The feature is pretty flexible and allows me to make quite a few changes. If there is a consensus view as to what members want to be able to see that the current settings don't allow, let me know? I've attached 2 images that show how I can customise this. Open to suggestions? Or I can create a new stream item that tries to emulate the old behavior, but in all honesty I've forgotten how the old 1 works exactly, so if you guys remember please let me know? -

Updated first post. Unfortunately to restore the members avatars that were lost in the upgrade would require reverting back to the old database / version and applying a patch and then re-upgrading. At this stage we're too far down the rabbit hole to go back considering everything else is working well. So for those members who lost their avatars I'm sorry, you'll just have to pick a new 1 or re-upload your old 1 (I can help you find the old 1 if required?). Alternatively I'm trying to see if I can get a list of impacted members and fix the most active users avatars for them manually (not sure how big this list will be, it might be 10, 100, 1000).. 1 of the reasons I didn't do the upgrade right away was that I wanted the software provider to iron out the majority of bugs in the upgrade process before I went ahead, this goes to show, you can't always avoid all of them! -

I think when I migrated to the new forum software I merged all donating members in with regular members and only since post migration have I started to add users to the donating members group. At some point I'm planning to set up donating members on a yearly subscription basis. So if you donate you get a year free of advertising etc.. I just haven't done it yet. -

I've made them about 1/3 the size, so they are smaller than the member avatar's now and much more of an icon. On the plus side they are now about 1kb in size each. So tiny. -

If your paint job is going to be flat black sure, if not it looks like it's an inbetween phase colour. Like it's not finished.

Yeah did that last night, good way to differentiate between user groups. I kind of wanted the Z432-R for myself lol.. However I get the unicorn works rally car, mods get the Z432-R, donating members get the Fairlady 240ZR and regular folks get a garden variety HLS30 with a 4 speed. Haha. If we had more groups we could cover PS30, 240Z-L etc.. -

Triple 40 Mikuni's. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/183286856703?ul_noapp=true Some weird looking corrosion in a couple of them though! -
This is generally my view, in that Nissan didn't see it as necessary to begin with, but our 260z's got them! Kind of like 240z's delivered in Australia never got the hazard switch, which is something you don't see the value in, until it's not there! However later 260z's did get them. In Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart in winter, a heated rear screen is very useful. Sydney probably not so much. However right now Sydney feel's ice cold so it could indeed be useful here too. I think 1 of the reasons we got the 5 speeds was because of the long drives between cities. That 5 speed would be super useful on a long drive between Sydney and Melbourne or Sydney and Brisbane. As a side note, Australian delivered FD RX-7's got cruise control, where as most domestic market cars didn't. I think in part this is due to the fact that the price point in Australia was higher so it was necessary to add options, but also because of the local difference in roads and distances between places here.

I believe it was an option but I don't think many availed of it at the time from what I've seen. My 71 240z #1415 has a switch for it which I believe the previous owner (original owner) may have had fitted 1 at some stage but the glass has since been changed if that's the case. Like your car I see the wiring and it was sort of hooked up but appears to have been made redundant later. I have seen the heated glass on a couple of AU market cars. EG: HS30 00868 (looks like dealer sticker still on there?) https://photos.app.goo.gl/aRHWASiGRkCgNjLa7 However it is possible it was later retrofitted (not sold new that way) or perhaps ordered via the dealer after it was sold new by a later owner? It's difficult to say without documentation - of which we know is very rare for these cars in Australia. Given that I've seen a few AU cars with it, I'd say it's likely they had them new but were in a minority of dealer options, it's not the sort of item I see people in the 80s/90s paying to import from the US for (given chance of breakage) and difficulty in doing so before the days of eBay and the Internet. But really just a best guess. Personally I love the vertical defrost glass. It's very 1960's. I also think it adds just a little extra to the look of early S30Z's - it's subtle but enough to just make the rear look a little less vacant. Somewhat ironically early 1969 delivered S30Z's in North America had blank rear glass (like our cars) and as a result are quite sought after for those restoring early cars in North America.
