  1. Sadly the advertising banners are back.... However if you have sent a donation via PayPal in most cases I've managed to put you into the Donating members group. The donating members group is excluded from seeing advertising. So just another reason to chip in a few dollars. At some point I may trial showing ads to guests only. To see if just having guests see them is enough to generate revenue. *Edit just to add 1 more thing, I believe the software may provide an option so that PayPal donations automatically place members into donating members group. (right now I do this manually), I'll have to set this up at some point to make life easier. At the moment once you make a donation you are a donating member indefinitely (since I'm too lazy to remove folks manually after a certain time period - too much admin for 1 person). However the software may provide an auto expire so a donation gives you say 12 months without advertising, but after that period you'll need to give a top up to stay in the group. I really appreciate the donations and find it very flattering that folks get that much use out of the site, enough to justify sending money towards the cause. So giving you an advertising free experience is 1 way to give something back.
  2. Thanks for that, I like the screen capture software you used? What is it? Might be helpful to add more of those tutorials in future.
  3. There is a lot of flexibility in the Activity section, a lot of which I still have to explore myself. If you have a specific view of new topics you want to see let me know and I can try and configure something to suit (if the software allows it) of if it's a popular request for other communities run on the same software there might be a plugin to address it.
  4. *Edit Email address login issue still not fixed. Just tested it.
  5. Just had IPS help with an issue that I noticed after upgrade. 1. This image gallery and some of my own photos were throwing errors previously. Seems to be fixed now. The IPS forum software folks likely logged into my site to fix a few issues and may have prevented certain tables being written to temporarily. @JDM-TOY - so this might explain your issue? 2. The new software should allow you to sign in with either username OR email address. It was previously only working with username. I'm just about to test my own account. This was the reason I kept Display Names with the upgrade because if you're able to sign in with email it shouldn't matter what your username is. I plan to also enable folks to sign in with Google Accounts, not just Facebook accounts.
  6. Are you trying to attach to a forum thread or upload to the gallery? My next update may explain why.. Q. Can you try uploading an image here? If not what error do you get? Do you get any?
  7. I fixed mine, the spaces might be due to the upgrade and the way the database fields were converted. Go to the top right hand corner of your profile pic and click on the down arrow to reveal your profile menu. Click on settings -> Account settings -> On the overview page click on signature. Modify the signature using the "source" button and you'll see HTML tags. I put mine into a simple unordered list. https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_lists.asp Which appears to have trimmed all the whitespace and given my signature a cleaner look.
  8. Thanks I've dropped the manifold off to Lachlan in Warragul who is going to have the parts blasted and re-plated. I suspect he knows of a source for that center pipe. I agree on the originality aspect, nobody would know.
  9. Signatures are back! Although it is a bit cleaner without them!
  10. Look under Activity -> My Activity Streams. It looks like you may be able to create your own "stream" criteria.
  11. I need the pipe that goes between the intake manifold if anyone has those!
  12. On a related note.
  13. Weird because for me the FD3S is like the perfect blend of of masculine muscle car stance, but beautiful feminine lines. Where as the S30Z is all feminine (in a good way).. I like the Mx5's, contemplated getting 1 a few times. But they are 2 very different cars aimed at 2 very different markets.
  14. I believe that may be the favorite icon. I will see what I can do to restore it. Thanks for the donations everyone and compliments. I'm glad you're enjoying the new changes. My favorite change is being able to reference other membere using the at symbol. @ Example. @PB260Z
  15. Nope was busy dropping car parts down to Lachlan. Driving half the day. Just checking in now.
  16. I'm digging the man cave. Always liked and wanted a 510 myself. I would dimple dye the rear floor area and weld it in myself. It's 1 of those early car defining features I like. Although I think the storage bins are a cool idea and good use of the space, something I see carried forward to later modern cars like my Rx7. But the dimple dyes look cool.
  17. You're friends with those people? Hah. It does make the Green 240z on eBay recently look like a steal in comparison!
  18. Yes these are helpful, I have the R version in hardcopy and digital formats. So I often reference them. Which is why I tell people to look at these cars as an S30z series with incremental changes over time, rather than reference things as say "260z tail lamps", "260z flat tops" etc..
  19. On mobile click the three lines on the top right hand corner to reveal your user menu. Then click "activity" -> activity. It shows me a list and clicking on the posts takes me to the latest reply. Side note: I suspect we will all have to spend a little while learning the new ropes. The upgrade basically stated that the old theme couldn't be preserved with the new version. Hence quite a jarring change. But overall I think it's better than the previous version. Just gonna take some adjustment.
  20. Parts Manuals! In good shape too! 21. Stricter emissions standards, even early 240z's in the US had air pumps fitted etc.. Can blame CARB
  22. Yes indeed along with the fat bumpers which partly explains why 73s tend to fetch less money over there.
