  1. Shame the seats didn't retain the tan theme. Looks like it has a Calendar clock too.
  2. Rally S30Z. Geoff Bell and Tim Challen- 2017 EASCR
  3. Neat Fairlady Roadster in the US. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1968-datsun-2000-roadster-4/ Getting harder to find here.
  4. Alan is that a roof mounted directional lamp? Near the rear view mirror? Never seen that before! Also is that show defrost glass on the side door glass? I'm guessing Z-T grade was introduced with the S31? Those alloys were fitted standard on AU market 260z's or at least we're often fitted. Steel wheels and caps were probably something you had to opt for to keep costs down here.
  5. Been a while between posts. Finally cut off the old lower section, and tack welded in the new piece. Had quite a bit of trouble creating the pressed section, I couldn't quite replicate the original shape exactly. But got close. Since it's hidden behind a bumper it won't be obvious. I also created the exhaust cut out section, but it's not exactly the same as original. I am contemplating cutting out the original section and welding it in. Either that or tidy up this piece more and perhaps use a bit of body filler to sculpt it. I still have to create the bumper mounting points (pressed areas) I didn't want to rely on my template. So I decided I'd offer it up to the car and trace out the exact areas that need modifying and then modify it.
  6. Don't look long enough for 2+2 doors. I'm guessing they are not bolted on just offered up and sitting there, maybe tied down to stop them falling. May explain their odd alignment. Pretty sure this car came up for sale 12+ months ago, but I didn't have the number of it back then.
  7. The simple reason classic car prices WILL fall
  8. HS30 103500 1973 model year, it looks like 907 Green, but would actually likely have been 113 metallic green originally (based on 103499's factory colour). https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/araluen/auto-body-parts/datsun/1192275298 Position of the doors makes it look like the body has sagged in the rear half? @zaxzeds this car is sister car to your Green Metallic car :). If anyone is thinking of going Pigeon pair. Lotta hard graft in this 1 I suspect.
  9. Anyone else get perverse joy out of watching this?
  10. Geez there is some coin floating around in London...love how the Datsun 240K get's pulled over toward the end.

  13. To be honest, it kind of looks like a potential diamond in the rough. It still has the original steel wheels! Which is rare enough to find these days. Being a 71 and looking at the windscreen pillars and inspection flap I think it could have been 907 Green too. It's also absent a sunroof, and the body looks like it's quite solid (left in some kind of primer), my guess is it was stored in a shipping container and moved out to make space and put under the pergola thing some time back (wheels have sunk into the dirt by now). If it comes with 90% of it's original parts inc. motor it may actually be a better buy than a couple of others that have come up recently. I would love to know what number it is, if anyone finds out please let me know? I'm always surprised that cars like this keep getting found, I suspected many more went to junk yards, but I think quite a few were put away and just left either in fields, barns or otherwise. Despite at 1 point the fact that they were not worth that much money.
  14. So it was 920 Gold, can I get the engine number and compliance plate date? I'll add it to my database and record it as deceased. Auto and safari gold, now that's quite a rare combo. I believe @dalee has a car like that also.

  17. So I've been watching these guys for a while, since they are importing vintage Japanese cars more and more. I guess when you are cynical like me, you are rarely disappointed. Here is an example of behavior we've seen before, advertising a car for sale, when you don't actually have it in stock. Exhibit A (as in Spirit R Type A). Photo index. https://www.facebook.com/pg/heartbeatcars.com.au/photos/ and link to car in their Albums. But when looking on Goo-Net, what do I find? http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/MAZDA/RX-7/945018061600204401003/index.html Stock Number:0204401A20180615G003 Location:Aichi Japan #1459 out of #1500 Spirit Rs Japanese Domestic Price 3,880,000 yen Actual dealer with the car is GTNET https://www.gtnet.co.jp/eng/usedcar/usedcar_detail.php?group_code=7&zaiko_code=00510000321000920648 So whilst this isn't the biggest indiscretion in the world. You may recall a certain someone advertising a Z432 for sale that didn't belong to them. I'll leave it for you folks to decide if you think this is a problem or not?
  18. Will do. They are currently stuck with customs.
  19. What he said... another early car I don't have photos of yet. Anxious to see it. HS30-00654.
  20. That's the same 1 that was available from Canada, I bought 1 a while back, but it's very thick sheet metal and difficult to reshape. It also needs reshaping at the bottom to fit the factory curve.
  21. https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-industrial+warehouse-vic-moorabbin-502907310 Buy this 1. I like the fit out.
  22. Are you sure it's a smaller brake booster? I thought the master cylinder was oriented differently (front and rear) lines were switched. Didn't think they were smaller.
  23. Coat Hooks.
  24. Maybe they (all your field) have all been going to the school of Cole Trickle racing?
  25. I just get annoyed that he cut up, not 1, but 2 viable shells to build this thing..
