  1. Sadly as these cars increase in value we're going to see more this nonsense. HLS30 - 55550 Cool VIN # however..
  2. I just realised I have those same $20 optional mudflaps on my white 71 240z. That's about $227 in today's money.
  3. Asking price has been bumped to $60k on the eBay auction.
  4. Good news, the activity steam issue should be fixed. Create new stream, UI bug - not allowing options to be selected. Investigate backwards compatible option (3.x) - So you should be able to give it a try now!
  5. The current listing confirms the chassis no. HS30 100997 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/273371117107?_trksid=p2471758.m4704 Hard to know what to make of this listing / ad / seller. Maybe they just are being a difficult seller and perhaps someone flagged the ad the first time around with eBay who removed it and then now they have listed it again under a new user to get around that? Bids certainly look like longer term eBay users (with multiple feedback items).
  6. Bit of a plug for member @Neuby and his Youtube channel, good information here about ignition mods.
  7. Article on the Green 240z. https://www.examiner.com.au/sport/local-sport/5541355/tullochs-auctions-housing-classic-antiques-and-treasures/
  8. Yeah I reckon it would be quite cold, hence the fireplace in the outside area. So it may not be as functional as it is cool looking.
  9. Hey Guys, This might be of interest to some. https://roundtopsfuelsystems.com/ So far I'm not exactly sure of their advantage. Worth watching though!
  10. Now this is a cool workshop!

  12. I forgot to link to the thread. https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/60309-were-bringin-back-the-flat-tops/?do=findComment&comment=553659 But if you're looking for a similar OEM look, without the health issues... Thermo -Tec express sleeves---it looks very nearly the same, performs the same and is non-asbestos based. It can be had in various diameters and lengths, suitable for the fuel rail and fuel line hoses. https://www.amazon.com/Thermo-Tec-14035-I-D-Express-Sleeve/dp/B003HIPBJM/ref=pd_sim_263_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003HIPBJM&pd_rd_r=c017de25-8c72-11e8-9961-e7c4ac9dd126&pd_rd_w=Zb0e8&pd_rd_wg=G67Pc&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2610440344683357453&pf_rd_r=B9FTZ64ZPGDMXF4Y3FMK&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=B9FTZ64ZPGDMXF4Y3FMK
  13. Serious man cave potential for the Taswegian's here. https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-tas-hobart-128860694

  17. #629 has escaped my radar Was just watching his Youtube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh8Np8GqrDg7g7M_TWv-9iQ
  18. Here are the 918 colour 240z's I know of (early ones). #420. https://photos.app.goo.gl/PPztbfk60Thj0zc32 #595 - South Australian car though! https://photos.app.goo.gl/91WBlwQg1e9vxxdx1 #601 https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPwVnnba6r9qeAGz3UiprDkslq7GEQoCDo34hPufBS-6ou2luFAntNqKSW4yg6Ugw?key=Z0dJdGEwUDcxVHVsOGlha3RzNS1TUXpGTTNOTEJn #695 - Ex- Edward Lee's car, pretty sure it was always a NSW car. https://photos.app.goo.gl/58GXvEQD0dcm5szi1 #1273 - Was sold in Sydney. https://photos.app.goo.gl/GDwdV6beoIqIlZ9k2 #1425 - ACT car? https://photos.app.goo.gl/M7lcAr4IMVnOTTCH2 #1427 https://goo.gl/photos/dJne9hk6W3g4aQ3V8 #10829 - Victorian car, but too late to be this car. Has later console and wouldn't have featured fender mirrors D caps etc.. https://photos.app.goo.gl/hm1ayq5Fmgh8o3Sd2 Impossible to tell from the above. I also don't think it's this 1, since it's a 1972 model. https://www.shannons.com.au/club/video/datsun-240z-260z-280zx-shannons-club-tv-episode-63/
  19. You know what, the horns probably do work but were disabled because of the bloody alarm! I really like doing work on my own cars, but I kind of feel like sending it to an auto electrician to remove the alarm completely and put it back to stock... I know I could probably do it myself, but as you say I'm about an hour away from it (each direction - more with traffic) and I think I'd have a lot more confidence in driving the car once it's sorted. Anyone know a good / meticulous auto electrician in Sydney?
  20. Good find! It looks like an early 240z with 918 Orange as it's colour. Victorian registration: KYD-936.
  21. Surely can't be that expensive? Current Bid $9,090.91 Reserve Not Met https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h329969087
  22. Funny, I was just thinking today if I should do the butterscotch interior on this car. I am pretty sure it was black from factory, although it may have been changed at some point (and re-coloured black). Not sure if it would be acceptable on an early car like this? But I do like the combo. Now you got me thinking about this place I saw the other day. https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-land+development-vic-brunswick+east-502865670 Hideous looking house, but cool man cave!
  23. If it was stolen before I sort of understand him being cagey, I've had my FD RX-7 stolen before. In fact when I went to look at it in Ireland, we met at a mutual location in a shopping center car park. If this car is registered, he should be able to drive it to meet you somewhere mutual if he's worried about people knowing where it's stored etc.. I would say that yes 240z's are rare, but they are also notorious for rust and you want to inspect it closely to see how much work the body needs before bidding because that's where all the value in these cars is..
