Gee, its been a long time since I've been on here! I have a '74 260z 2+2. It cost me $7500 in 2009, and has since had a complete engine rebuild, running gear was all good on inspection, new adjustable coil overs. All this happened between about 2010 and 2013 prior to "life" happening. Unfortunately, life happening meant it has sat in my carport since. Now "life has happened again...Triton spat its timing belt for the second time in 4 years. Wondering what to do, and my mechanic said "Mate, your Datsun, just get it going and drive it!". So I've got a workshop[ to work in (his)...and hopefully the old girl will be back on the road come end of January! Made me think I should get back here. I said not too many surprises, not.. not too much repairs lol. In actuality I was expecting worse. The only damage I was not aware of was the passenger side rear qtr and one of the previous dodgy repairs to the floor area. Really happy with how it is all progressing, thanks Lachlan.

Errrrrrrrr.... Needing replacing: L & R Outer sills. Underfloor chassis rails. Doglegs. Slam Panel. Radiator cross-member. Top Rear of Left engine bay frame rail. Inner skirt under battery tray. LH firewall where skirt joins it. HVAC plenum duct is all but gone at it's base. Pin holes in plenum floor. Rust holes in plenum top. RH floor pan requires a couple of patch's (fore & aft). Tail light panel needs sections replaced. Rust in the rear of the drip rails. Lots of pin holes to weld up. Major Accident damage to both rear quarters which will will require a lot of straightening: And that's not including the guards, doors, bonnet, hatch, scuttle... On a positive note, the sills, rails & slam panel have arrived from KlassicFab:

Well change of approach and getting a proper resto with Lachlan at C.A.R Fortunately not too many surprises were found lol.
