Administrators gav240z Posted October 15, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 15, 2020 I'll send you a PM. I have an incomplete set and would be interested in completing the set. Also I have some iron cross 280zx wheels (if you're hunting for some).
gilltech
I suppose they've mostly all been melted down by now but once there were loads of alloy wheels of different styles ex the 280ZX models, and other earlier Dattos, in NZ when I lived there. Cars arrived literally by the boatload as 'Jap imports' as the local assembly industry started to peter out in the '80s. Many were polished turds with clocked odometers and rust issues so didn't last long. The 280ZXs that succumbed provided a ready source of alloy wheels and 2.8L engines though for the S30 enthusiasts. gav240z and rb79gt

The other 3 arent as corroded and hold air. Any suggestions are welcome. That's classic water-attack damage, and very difficult - if not impossible - to repair safely. Bad news I know, but best to be honest about it. gilltech and gav240z 1
gilltech
FWIW, I forgot to add that Mr Reg Cook as mentioned above is an accomplished race car driver in NZ, from the '70s to the present day. I can recall him racing Datsun SSS's back in the day with a great deal of success. rajon1972
Violet works wheels perhaps?
datsunrally
Given they're 5.5" my best guess is they'd be Violet (710) or 180B wheels.

I have 3 of them myself. I found a cracked 1 in Bendigo but passed on it. So need 1 more to make a complete set.
