Scoota G Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Is it For Sale yet? The funny thing is that you can not only read the disappointment in Lockeys message (for rev having sold his other Gems) but you can also hear it come through the monitor, Hear It!!!! Quote

reverendzed Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 Great news, car passed with flying coors for Club reg so should be ready to rock and roll by next week. Wheels have been ordered, interior has begun a transformation...things are starting to move! Rev. Quote
Scottz Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Hi Rev, I just picked up this thread. Got home yesterday from another offshore work rotation. I have some 16" x 8 and 16" x 7 Rota's for sale. Since you have already ordered wheels, I might be a bit late but email me if interested. scottz Quote
reverendzed Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks Scott...Thinking of going pretty large like 9.5 rear & 9" on the front. Just painted the spolier in the same dark gun metal as the bumpers and trim and a polish and a quick spin! Quote
C.A.R. Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Looks good Dave. What's the rest of the bodywork on it like? Quote
reverendzed Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 it looks very straight in the lines Lurchos, resto done 16 years ago and nothing has 'popped' it's head up yet! I'm sure like any Zed there are some surprises under the surface. It has always been shedded and he told me it had only been caught in the rain only a few times in the 16 years he had owned it. Floors are perfect with a small amount of rust at the end of both rails just starting to show through. All in all it's pretty clean. Paint and body is about an 8 on my scale. Engine wise running an L28 that was reco'ed about 20k ago. Quote
Scottz Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Gunmetal grey looks good. I was trying the same but gave up and went for flat black. It took me ages to fit the front and rear fglass bumpers and front spoiler. I had to reshape them a lot to get a symmetrical appearance. Rear spoiler I have is even more difficult to shape and fit, also in fglass. I'm searching for ideas for a grill. Something with grrr that doesn't look like the original venetian blind. Anyway, lots done but still have the engine transplant to do. What are your plans for horse power? scottz Quote
