Dear God the man is totally insane lol ;D L36? You'll blow yourself to pieces! ;D

 

Looking forward to the build, should be awesome! Would be cool if you could get an L-series NA to 400HP, or close to.

 

What induction are you going Pete? 45mm Mikuni's, 50 or 55mm Weber's or ITB's?

 

Did you use an L28 block?

 

Would love to hear this thing fire up one day.  ;D

 

Must get you to build me an RB30/26 DETT one day for a Z :)

So much work in this head  and from what we found on the dyno with jakes 3.4 we new we had to build some trick parts and lodes of thinking how to do it better , , we are well on the way to finishing it  next month it will see the dyno  it has carbs 47OER as its a street grunter it will have over 300 ftlb at 4800 and all the power before 6200

and the bloke who will drive it does not wont us to say who he is  ,,, sorry

This is going to be amazing... those water mods are necessary for cooling the L-series? To prevent head gasket warpage?

When we were tuning the 3.4 over 330 hp the plugs were hotter at the rear and it was very hard to tune we had 6 sets of jets in the engine to get the right fuel mix and cylinder 5 was just to hot so we drilled all the casting flashing from the inside of the head and then run a -6 water line from the top of no5 and we ran it up again and we got the tune back to where it would live  . in this engine we went even more into the problem and built this water log to remove hot water from over the exhaust ports  . all cylinders run the same temp and jeting and timing now =more power

dont mean to be ignorant but what is the shaft in the pic you are holding up against the wall , just trying to figure where it fits in

Peter the stuff you and Les are doing with the L series is awesome . Braking new ground with all the mods. Look forward to updates on this engine.

OMG is there no limit to your talents and endeavours Pete? Next thing you know Pete and Les will be joining 2 L series blocks together to make a LV12......

Can't wait to hear all the specs, what you have done to stretch it to 3.6 and make it hang together. Just awesome Pete.

 

When are you going to complete putting the RB26 head on the L series block?

mate the 26 head will get finished when we stop making more from the L head we now can make 370hp of air from a inlet ports with a valve that's moved away from the bore 2mm and 1 mm in to the port  not cheep but if your getting past by one of my new L motors at the track you will know why lol , we are also moving the bore away from the valve to get all the air we can ,

Wow. Amazing stuff Pete, the attention to detail just blows me away  8) Kinda reminds me of an FIA head........ Where do you go from the exit of the pipe, tstat ? Keep up the awesome work!

Geez Pete, do you boys ever have a day where you just do a regular run-of-the-mill build?  :o Good stuff, great to see there's guys like you and Les out there willing to push these things as far as they'll go.

 

It's a thing of beauty already, can't wait to see the rest of it.

before you know it the guys from nissan in japan will be knocking on your door , you come to our shop
