Mr Camouflage Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 does anyone else here have a collection of the 240z hotwheels cars? i think i have about 5white ones and 1 yellow' date=' as everytime i see one i buy it, not that i need them! and i have an r32 gtr somewhere too just for the hell of it[/quote'] Guilty. I have 7 white and 3 yellow, till last week when K-mart had a buy 2 get one free, so now I have 6 yellow. In the US they are out in Red and orange too, guess we have to wait a bit for them to get here. Also have the white and green import tuners (bigger than a match box car, around 1:64 scale maybe?). In 1:18 Kyosho I have 2 240ZG's (White, and Maron), 1 Z432R, One of the Rally ones (forget the number). Also a Black Sunstar 240Z, and 2 road signature 240z's (ones the other rally car, and the BRE #26 car). Then theres the plastic kits......... Quote
George Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 i want the red with black hood. damn you for posting this gav. Quote
Alfadog Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 In 1:18 Kyosho I have 2 240ZG's (White' date=' and Maron), 1 Z432R, [/quote'] If you (or anyone for that matter) ever see another maroon 240ZG or a Z432-R 1:18 Kyosho please let me know. Quote
zedevan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 the "games world" retail chain, i think they are called, can definately get them in, i've got a maroon one as thats all they had and i couldn't b botehred waiting, and the maroon colour is kinda cool. i've also got a cheaper like $30 type one and the quality and detail difference is amazing, definately worth the extra the plan is to get a decent r32 and sprinter, not to mention all the jada 240z's! my hotwheels collection is +1 for yellow lol they also can get in a nice c110 from memory, which i'd love, but with the price of them being the way they are... how's life in melb alfadog? assuming you're down here that is? Administrators gav240z Posted March 26, 2007 Author Administrators Posted March 26, 2007 Hey guys, got my 240z model car today. I was so excited I blogged about it . Check out the pics. http://datsun-240z-blog.viczcar.com/datsun-240z-model-car-with-sr20dett-engine-swap.html Quote
Alfadog Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I ordered the same white one and an orange with black bonnet Can't wait. Ya I'm in Melb (Glen Iris) now. It's pretty awesome! Hopefully I can make it down to the Nats at easter to perve on some of the cars. I collect 1:18 cars so already have the C110 of course It is a very very good model. Also have a white 240ZG. Zedeven are you inferring that you'd prefer a white one to maroon? If so, I'd be happy to swap!! (seriously) The Jada "Initial D" cars aren't really that good. Kyosho is good but not quite right... Get an AUTOART R32 - they are the best. Quote
Toecutter Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 The one I bought...hmmm...tempted to buy the others. Quote
mikedoeslife Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I just got a mate in Bendigo to buy me one of the Jada ones from the local Kmart, haha. They didn't have them at any of my local Kmarts unfortunately! Stoked :D Quote
zedevan Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 how much r they? i was thinking they'd never come out so bought a couple from amerca...although i do want more Quote
mikedoeslife Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I think they're around 20-25 bucks? They're usually 20-30 bucks on eBay, plus shipping. Quote
HELLFIRE! Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Very nice finds! I was in town (Shepparton) yesterday and I forgot to see if Kmart there had any. Really like the BRE model. Quote

RB30X Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Just thought I'd tag onto this old thread since its regarding 240Z models. I recently bought a few Tamiya style Zed models from ebay and I was wondering if anyone else has ever bought and assembled the PS30Z / 432R model?? Inside mine, the outer shell comes already complete, no opening bonnet or anything. I have 3 diffrent sets of rims, 2 RH dash's, 2 steering wheels, 2 gearsticks, 2 sets of front a rear bumpers, one extra front spoiler, two rear spoilers, two sets of headlight covers. And the best bit, the choice between a L series engine or an S20, to go under a bonnet that doesn't lift up so you never see it again. Thought it was all a bit wierd thats all, normally there's only one set of everything and you can at least see the engine by lifting the bonnet. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted July 20, 2010 Moderators Posted July 20, 2010 You could carefuly trim and cut the bonnet off to view the motor; and make miniature bonnet pins to hold it in place.. Quote
Six_Shooter Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I would love to get my hands on one of those Tamiya 240 models. I'm not usually into diecasts, but I have 4 Diecats S30s now, all aquired since I bought my 240. lol I have 3 1/18 scale 2 "1970", one is Green, the other is painted in a similar style to the BRE 240, but has no "BRE" specific markings. A 1/18 scale silver 240, this one actually has door window molding that stays on the door when it's opened! The 4th one sits on my computer desk between my monitors, it's a 1/24th scale orange, similar to ones already pictured in this thread with the large wheels and SR20 under the hood. I'm keeping my eye out for more. I've been VERY tempetd to buy at least one of the 3 RC car kits that are available now, but that's a lot of cake to sit on the shelf, and probably never use it as an RC, just because it would cost more cake to get it running.
