dpellizzaro Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 hi guys my name is David i have just started seriously looking for my first Z as room in my garage has appeared. I live in Brisbane and most likely will only be purchasing a 2+2 as im trying to keep it a little project that wont burn a hole in the pocket. (I have a feeling that will change once i get a car) So i am happy to finally be a member after years of just trawling the classifieds and look forward to all your support and knowledge. David Quote
perrin_07 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 welcome to forum! i said the said thing about hoping it wouldnt cost alot. i didnt understand how much work has to be done on alot of em to pass a roadworthy....still working on it now Quote
saxon Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Welcome! My advice is just keep an eye on the market for a while so you know what a good deal. Also you might change your mind like everyone else and want a 2 seater. Depending on how much work and $$ you want to put in, it might be worth putting out the extra 4 to 5 k to get the 2 seater. Someone else on this forum i forget who has spent well over 10k restoring a 2+2 and now wishes it was on a coupe. Either way, good luck! Quote
Linton Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 a little project that wont burn a hole in the pocket. Ha Ha ;D Good luck with that and welcome Quote
luvemfast Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Welcome trying to keep it a little project that wont burn a hole in the pocket. (I have a feeling that will change once i get a car) What could possibly go wrong I'll give you the hot tip, you've already blown the budget Quote
Aliangus Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Good luck with the search, I'll suggest posting in the wanted section - you just don't know what someone might want to sell that they hadn't got around to advertising yet - it worked for me. And some people prefer the bus, so don't be deterred from going down that path if that is the way you want to go. Quote
dpellizzaro Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 Yeah im well aware its not going to be good on my wallet, but im hoping the enjoyment i get out of it will justify the money it will be throwing at it. thanks for your welcomes David Quote
