Stivva Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I thought it may be a good idea to start a thread on fuel consumption so that we might all gauge our fuel usage based on an average. We will keep the posts simple and to a formula. Engine type: Engine Size: Tank Size: Kilometers to tank: L/100km: Carburettor type / or injector size: Quote
Stivva Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 Engine type: L Series Engine Size: 2.8 litres Tank Size: 60 litres Kilometers to tank: 380 L/100km:15.7 Carburettor type: Hitachi Round top SUs Quote
RB30X Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Would L/100 be a more common measurement value? Or are we all too smart to calculate that one. Quote
Gyra Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Hmm, might be difficult to measure - I'm only on my second tank of fuel this year... Then there's that pesky breather hose that seems to leak 10 litres every time I fill up! Back when I used the car as a daily driver I was getting about 450Km from a tank, about 13.3l/100km. Country trips were much better, hooning about much worse... Engine type: L Engine Size:2.8 Tank Size:60 Kilometers to tank: 450 Kilometers per litre: 7.5 Carburettor type / or injector size: round tops Quote
Stivva Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 Yes, that would be a much better measurement. Let's change that to L/100km Quote
