Sirpent Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Hey Salty I know that we all like to take the Mickey out of one and other on this forum at times, but a personal tragedy always brings this forum to a rally, so my sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother, a lot of us may be grown men that act as kids at times, but we are always mums boys and mums never stop being mums. salty Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Thanks to all for your thoughts and remarks. Mum had a 7 year battle with lung cancer, 50 years of smoking. She nearly lost an eye from Kemo, side effect. Mum also had cancer near her throat but beat that one but as a result of radiation therapy she couldnt have any more for the second cancer. Sirpent, your right there, as Mums first born, and I think any first born, there is a special place in your mums heart for you. Mum also said, "once you have kids, you have the for life", I have to agree there as I'm doing for mine what mum did for me. So you can see why I've been on and off the forum lately. thanks again guys. Quote

salty Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 anyone who is looking after their parents, kids in fact anyone and will have to pay for the funeral etc when they pass, start saving now :'( I have had to sell a Z to help pay for my Mum BUT it is going to a good home :'( :'( :'( Quote
