I'm thinking of going to that auction as Shannons is only 5 mins away from me..anyone else curious? I'm hoping it goes for a good number.

I would guess that Shannons are aware of the "problem" and hence what I think is a low estimate. If so, pity they could not be honest in their assessment of the car. Would be interesting to talk to them prior to the auction and see what they say about it.

I'm pretty sure the condition report.calls it as.the car is seen. As with any car purchased through  auction it's buyer beware.

 

If I was in the market I would look at it as a shell for an Sc car or tarmac rally car.

If some one on the forum ends up buying this car and you don't want the original wheels and hubcaps, let me know as I would be interested in buying them.

 

The car itself needs to much money spent to bring back. If the body is as bad 260coupe said, I don't have the $0000's for rust repairs.
