luvemfast Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Hi, I've been in talks direct with the manufacturer to get a group buy for ATI super dampers. Available in either L4 & L6. Part numbers L4 - 917720 L6 - 917751 http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampers/index.htm Looking to be somewhere between $350-$400 delivered. Which is a good deal as they sell for more than that in the States (without shipping) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATI-917751/ Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who may be. If I can't get the numbers, I can't do the deal. Thanks, Simon Quote

DAZDA Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 How much smaller (diameter) would that belt drive (water pump/alternator) be than the factory pulley? Quote

peter mc Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 that the one for the racer out there .and they come in diffrent diameters so look in to it before you buy. Quote
acf321 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Hey Simon I'm in as I mentioned, but like Lurch I would prefer the Alum version too. Quote
zed74 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I believe the ATI balancer is very good - but BHJ Dynamics may also be a good option. BHJ used by Rebello & numerous nascar/V8 supercar teams (eg. 888 vodafone racing) Quote
luvemfast Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 Ok, I can get aluminium ones too. Also, if you are running air con or power steering, the front has a Chev bolt pattern for pulley's to be mounted to. I'll make a list of people interested and crunch some numbers to see if we can do this. I've advertised on OzDat and Skylines Australia to try and make it happen. Quote
luvemfast Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 Thats the one I got Locky, 918040, 3 ring damper That one is the Serpentine version with the multi v grooves on the OD? that the one for the racer out there .and they come in diffrent diameters so look in to it before you buy. What is the builders choice? http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampers/charts/damnissan.htm http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part-Type/Harmonic-Balancers/Make/NISSAN/Brand/ATI-Performance-Products/?Ns=Rank%7cAsc Quote
620Z Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Yeah they are the good ones. I have been looking at one of these for my V8. These are good for reving to 8,000rpm I think. Cheap on eBay I hope you guys have looked there? Quote
luvemfast Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 Yeah they are the good ones. I have been looking at one of these for my V8. These are good for reving to 8,000rpm I think. Cheap on eBay I hope you guys have looked there? Chev ones may be ample but Datsuns are few and far between. Here is the only one in the USA http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ATI-Super-Damper-Nissan-L16-18-20-Datsun-510-620-4-cyl-/170619709650?pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item27b9ba28d2 Quote
luvemfast Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 I've had 6 people express interest. Which is not instilling me with confidence as to get these prices we need 25 I'm going to leave it on this forum, Ozdat and Skylines Australia for a few weeks and see if its a viable venture. At the moment, not looking good. C'mon guys, get some go fast parts at a reasonable rate! Quote
zed74 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 GUYS, Anyone consistently revving their Z MUST have a decent balancer! How could you enjoy it otherwise Minimum engine rebuild is in excess of $6K - so the price of a performance balancer is CHEAP I bought a brand new genuine standard nissan balancer in 2004 & the bolt fell out after the second stage of DAY 1 Classic Adelaide 2004. We still had 4 days to go! I learned my lesson! :'( BUY BUY BUY Quote
luvemfast Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 would they do the RB one in the same GB? I asked about that already as the skyline boys were after them. The answer was NO They have long term sellers that move those already. The deal is for L series only for a minimum of 25. I've worked out importation and the firm price is $400 delivered for standard $415 delivered for aluminium Waiting to hear if I can get a deal on larger aluminium race Quote
