luvemfast Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 BTW Pete, post in this thread about Noel's Zed from now on... With his permission of course. Then we don't have to feel naughty, like checking out a friends sister, cousin, niece or daughter Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 2, 2011 Moderators Posted April 2, 2011 VERY impressive numbers on that sheet. It's hard to believe its NA... Quote
peter mc Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 I would be very disappointed if it was turbo .it is lots of fun to drive and I am very happy Noel let's me drive it Quote
260DET Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Great to see a race engine dyno sheet, not many of them around in AU. I know bugger all about these motors but it looks to have a nice power spread if at lower revs than I would have expected. Quote
peter mc Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 You asked for it nothing to hide it's a club car that just fun . But I would like to see a l28 with more power at6000 Quote
260DET Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Seeing its a club car I guess engine longevity is important and much more revs would require more $, harmonics and stuff. Quote
peter mc Posted April 30, 2011 Author Posted April 30, 2011 well done to Noel Edwards for doing a Pb at the island today low 1.55 nice work noel 2seconds faster than his previouse best now put it into 53s please Quote

peter mc Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 HI all well the good news for noel is he is still kicking and getting better after 4 hart attacks and being dead for 20min , hard to keep a zed man down , any way hear is some pics off his engine I'm building for the Nat's , he will be letting me drive it for the weekend , at the 6 hour the engine broke the cam and smashed the motor , all the valves and rocker gear and retainers and head had to be replaced , , so i started with a new block and got to work , Quote
MaygZ Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Is that a piston you've built to get better compression in an NA P90 head? Looks the goods. What sort of compression will you get? Quote
peter mc Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 yer its a 15cc bump to get 12.3 comp in the P90 its the same shape as the head Quote
Riceburner Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 HI all well the good news for noel is he is still kicking and getting better after 4 hart attacks and being dead for 20min , hard to keep a zed man down , any way hear is some pics off his engine I'm building for the Nat's , he will be letting me drive it for the weekend , at the 6 hour the engine broke the cam and smashed the motor , all the valves and rocker gear and retainers and head had to be replaced , , so i started with a new block and got to work , That's good news to hear Pete, best wishes to Noel for a speedy recovery! Sounds like it let go with a bang, what was the cause? What are the plans for the new motor? Quote
peter mc Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 well te cam snaped in the center and broke the head mountings and caused the hole motor to go , the only bits i could save were the sump and rocker cover lol i will race it at the nats then it will be up for sale Quote
Gordo Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 So Gareth, Noel is making a speedy recovery and we all wish him well for a full recovery. Out of the goodness of his heart he will double enter the zed at the Nationals with Peter. So Peter will be putting in all sorts of secret goodies, you no the go fast bits. Could even be a 3.6 stroker, we will never no, but the 1.45 s at PI will give it away. So good luck with the new engine Peter, I would love to see Noel do his fastest lap ever before he sales the car. Cheers Gordon. Quote
peter mc Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 hahah 2.85 gordo smaller than your engine , i could not get a L28 that would go 89 so its 88 mm in the bore with a standard stroke L28 140mm rods 12.3 comp 76high lift P90 with big valves and a big race port ,.... but i did lots off tricky stuff , i have to keep up with you gordo lol noel wont be driving , its up to me to set the times . Quote
Riceburner Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I bet it'll a be another stonking motor Pete! Quote
