gilltech Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Am just wondering on the off-chance if someone in Brisbane knows of an automotive paint shop, north-side if at all possible, that would match my car's paint in a handy spray can for touch-ups? Thanks! Quote
matty260z Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Most Autobarn shops are able to do that, just take a sample to match it against. Fuel cover is always an easy one. Quote
gilltech Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 Great, thanks for that, I'll give them a try. Quote
Gyra Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I've had mixed results with getting spraycans made up at Autobarn. I bought a can a couple of years ago and it was a perfect match - fixed up some spots around the rear hatch really nicely. I went back recently and they no longer have the paint code on file. Apparently they have changed paint supplier, and don't seem to have any of the Datsun paint codes. (ps anyone have the recipe for 904 white?) Good luck! G Quote

Riceburner Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I've used 'painmobile' down here in dandenong (vic), I just took in an inspection covers and they color matched it to that. It's fairly pricey at $30 a can but worked great on new vented inpection covers. Quote

Gee gareth, does 'painmobile' send the dominatrix to your home, you show her your inspection cover and she does your can for $30? She must be good if it leaves your inspection cover vented!!!! No picture of a vented one - I don't want the Feds knocking on my door. I really should get some sleep Quote
webmanic Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I use Colourfast Auto on the Southside. They specialize in automotive paint and have all the gear. They had the colour code for my Datsun and mixed me up some paint and put it in spray cans. I also used them to match the Nissan Blue on the block and the orange for the air cleaner. I would have no problem using them again. They spent an hour with me out back getting the blue perfect...best service. Quote
Rat1314 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 There is ABI paint supplies on South Pine rd Brendale, Brisbane Refinish Supplies at Shannon Pl Virginia and Peninsula Paint Supplies at Anzac Ave Kippa-Ring. Quote

Agno Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 He's expensive anyway, Body Shop in Seaford did that for me for $25 last week! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 15, 2013 Administrators Posted April 15, 2013 He's expensive anyway, Body Shop in Seaford did that for me for $25 last week! I've deleted the post, just some free-loader looking to flog stuff. Gets a bit tiring after a while. You wouldn't believe how many club emails I get from people 'wanting stuff'. It's always take take take, but never give. Quote
