WTD: 240Z Parts/Donor Car Wanted Urgently

G'day all,

 

well the parts car I've been looking at for 6 months or more, trying to get a price from the owner, has fallen over.  He's decided not to sell, so I'm up that special creek without a paddle, unless a knight in a rusty 240Z drives (or is towed) up.

 

I need a complete, or very near so, 240Z.  The rustier the better, as then I wont feel at all bad stripping her.  Ideally she will be a manual, but if only autos avail, I can't be a chooser now, can I?  Don't care what L series motor she has, would prefer L28, but not greatly fussed.

 

If someone has the sort of car the Toecutter has asked for, I'll take it instead. 

 

But truly, the old rust bucket that's rotting out the back is the one I'm looking for. 

 

Ask yourself:

Do I really need it?  Does it make sense to just let it sit there and rot?  Could I do with a bit of extra coin to throw at my one true love (whatever or whoever that may be)?  Would the leader of the opposition be happier (therefore I be happier) if it was gone?  Would getting rid of that one make room for a more feasible project to move in? 

 

Please PM me with your offers.  Just a couple of happy snaps, a brief description of its pluses and minuses and your value/asking price.  I really need to get my project started as I'm frustrated  (and my wife wants to know why I paid so much money for a primer coloured elephant in my shed)

Is a low build number like that really an ideal parts car? Wouldn't it be very desirable for restoration?

Not if the body is stuffed, doesn't matter what the number is, if it isn't economically viable then you're better off getting some value out of it, or do what has been in the past with other car types and rebirth......(now running for cover )

Cut out the low vin number and pit it on yours as well as the other parts
