I had to change my interior light dimmer tonight. It had burned out a very long time ago and was just bypassed.

All I have to say about that was, it was the worst job I have ever had to do on the 260. Doing anything under the dash in that car is annoying, but this was plain horrible.

You mean you don't enjoy hanging upside down rooting around under the dash trying to find where everything goes, cutting your hands on the sharp metal edges and getting all kinds of weird crud that technically isn't grease on your hands but smells and looks like it?

Yeah the 240z dash is even worse if you want to remove the gauges they have some weird butterfly nuts that are impossible to undo with anything but children sized hands.

Sounds like you got it all sorted though and at least you have a dome light. Yay! It's funny how the little things are so rewarding to fix.

You have that right Gav, now I need to get the door jam triggers for the roof light active. I found the drivers one unplugged, and need to trace the rest of the circuit. Just focussed on getting the inside of the car looking and performing awesomely.

Quick update for the thread watchers

Just checked my UPS tracking and my ZG flares are in Australia. Now I just need my tax return back for the wheels.

And I am waiting on the bulk order of strut braces for my rear brace.

That why my Speedo hasn`t had a wing nut on it for a few years now. lol

The Z looks good, personalized enough to stand out, but not so much so that you wonder what the guy was thinking. lol Just a nice balance.

I am back with a couple of updates.

I have had the windows tinted. They were just about blacked out and will protect my interior from drying out or cracking. I have bought new rims and tyres. I 'downgraded' to a period style 15x9. Although with my added flair in colour. And I have had my flairs sent of to the paint shop to be finished and painted gloss black and my spare fender to be painted in my chosen colour to see how it will all look.

Thank you tax return!

And then like a few others I am waiting on my rear strut brace which should rock up soon I hope!

Pictures to come soon!

No coil overs yet, but I am looking for some soon. This is just on compressed springs. I have very little suspension travel. But it is more than enough to be a daily.

Ok, I got my test panel back along with my flares and have decided on the colour scheme of the car.

The car will be 40th Anniversary Gun Metal Grey (KAV) from the 370z finished in a satin clear with gloss black high accents.

Should look the bomb! But I'll miss the dirty primer look. Something about the rat rod look. :)

I am originally from Victoria, and when I moved up I refused to change my reg and lose my plates. Plus I don't get picked on much with the Vic plates.

Thanks gav, I will miss the rat look too. It certainly commands respect on the road. Dirty, sinister and tough.
