C.A.R. Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 For anyone (un)lucky enough to be stuck behind a desk all day but likes listening to music, this might be the site for you: www.last.fm It's basically like 'Pandora' before it went all Emo & stopped all non-US based IP address accessing it... Simply type in your favourite band & it will play streaming songs from that genre' of music. I reckon it's great & is throwing up some interesting results... Quote
modular9 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 what's more you can have last fm groups so you could make a group call it auszcar and then all auszcar members can subscribe to the group and listen to everyones music tastes... Problem. I like american gangsta rap/ thrash metal/ death metal and Trance so perhaps not me . Would be quite an idea to hear other peoples likes and dislikes though. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 22, 2008 Author Posted August 22, 2008 Thats an eclectic taste Modular I'm more into Aussie Hip Hop / G-Phunk / Nu-Metal / Alt Metal. Like Pandora it's been throwing up some interesting bands.... Quote

silverz Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Here in Darwin the only thing I can get on the 240Z original AM radio is ABC Radio National and they hardly ever play music, normally just a bunch of intelectuals blabbering on. Lucky I have the noisy diff/rear wheel bearings to listen to. Regards Peter Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted August 23, 2008 Administrators Posted August 23, 2008 Lets see: David Bowie The Wallflowers Queen Muse Red Hot Chili Peppers Grinspoon The Vines Duran Duran Collective Soul The Tea Party Audioslave Chris Cornell - Solo stuff ACDC Crowded House Oasis Pink Floyd The Verve Thin Lizzy and a few other tunes, but probably a huge dose of David Bowie, he's a huge influence for me. Especially since I picked up a guitar. Quote

dave_hl Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Another nice little site for you all... a mate linked me this: File2HD.com it will download any flash/mp3 from any website. great for grabbing youtube vids but even better for myspace songs, because unlike other 'grabbing' websites it gets a better quality 128kb from myspace instead of the regular 96kb ones with dirty bass you usually hear when you stream. Im going to town on it, myspace is the best for rare remixes and small artists which aren't on limewire or even have EP's or albums to buy/download. Quote
