The latest edition of UNIQUECARS (has the Barbados Green SLR5000 on the cover) has a very nice 17 page all clout article covering the 50th anniversary of the Zed.

Features two very nicely sorted restored 240Z’s - Silver ‘73 owned by Brad Twyning and Green early ‘70 owned by John Wakeling (Forum members?). Lovely examples in my humble opinion.

Really nice photography in my humble opinion and knowledgeable write ups, usual ‘Checklist Stuff” covering:

Body & Chasiss. Engine & TransmissionSuspension & Brakes. Interior & Electrics. Also good little side articles with photo’s of Zed bits and pieces.

Also 4 pages of ‘ZEDFEST 2019’ Photos.

Cheers, Rod.

Great spread and two very nice examples of the S30 highlighted in the article.

The one disappointment in the article was the perpetuation of the Goertz myth. This has been a sore thumb in the records of Datsun S30 history for decades and has been comprehensively addressed on other sites. It is a little frustrating that the research done for a recent book published in Australia and in articles such as this continue to fall back on the old articles of times gone by.

For those that want to read into this a little more you search "Goertz Myth" on ClassicZ and there is some discussion of same on this site after a book was published by an Australian motoring historian, but I cannot find it just now.

Otherwise, great article and good to see the S30 given such prominence in its 50th year.

FFS, it's 50 years of Z and they can't even bring it upon themselves to put them on the front cover. Seriously automotive journalists still treat the Z like a second class product. Wankers the lot of em'. No wonder I haven't bought their magazine in 20 years.
