joe71_240z Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 It is a 1973 model as stated by GongZ. It is interesting though that it was complianced in Australia until 1975. That's one hell of a long boat trip! Quote

Also the only coupe with the shark gill hood. This well known Tasmanian car will be remembered by those Victorians who did the early 2003 or 2004 run to Tas and Simmons plains.. 125000 km on the clock only. It is priced to sell quickly at $44,000. The vehicle registration is paid for the next 13 months until December 2020. Twin 240 carbs and manifold from a rally car, 73 dgree cam, 2 1/2 inch stainless steel exhaust strait through to walker turbo exhaust. 3.5 diff., was set up for high speed flat track Exhaust matched and polish to accept header but the Datsun manifold works quite well, roll bar. Saved all parts i took off the car can be put back to off the show room floor condition. Quote

Big bonus. Looks to have been originally an auto car too. (badge on hatch). It will have more spots of rust, based on photos shown, but has the survivor vibe going on. Quote

Item location: Taree, NSW, Australia L24-151389 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/133268330650 I went & had a look at this one yesterday. It has rust in all the usual places. There are holes in both floors (new floors supplied), battery tray area is poorly patched as is the rear light panel under the hatch, both dog legs have a good amount of bog in them & a visible hole on the inner wheel wells, LH chassis rail behind tension rod mount has 3 welded patches, LH roof gutter area has a big hole in it, RH side of roof has rust bubbling thru, welded patch near bottom left corner of windscreen (under the guard), RH door has rust all along the bottom on the inside, the radiator support has a bit of rust but looks to have been massaged poorly after a slight hit in the front & it needs another wheel well (the one supplied is cut into 4 pieces - don't know why??). The engine is not running as the intake & exhaust have been removed. I did notice that there's an oil drain line going to the sump so must have had a turbo fitted but now removed. I think that pretty much covers it. Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted December 16, 2019 Author Administrators Posted December 16, 2019 HS30 100986 - Looks like a heap of you know what... but it's quite rare to find a red interior car in 901 Silver. I hate bad previous repairs. Give me a neglected car over a poorly repaired 1 any day.. 17 hours ago, 240ZR said: Didn't this one sell for half the asking price now a while ago?? Like many of these cars that pop up again and again, I think they never really sell. Just disappear for a bit and re-appear. Quote
