  2. This has been resolved. My contact in the USA has sourced an aftermarket fibre glass panel. Thanks for reading and replying. Gav, please feel free to remove this topic to save yourself some internet space, I would do it but dont know how to. Thanks again.
  3. I came across this posted on another Datsun facebook forum and thought that I would share it here: https://www.facebook.com/Nadine.Travels.West/photos/pcb.430543665494918/430542352161716
  4. Hi All. I have another request from a friend of a friend in the USA. He owns an early RHD Fairlady Z. He is looking for a replacement cowl panel and obviously is having difficulty finding it in LHD country. He is willing to accept any S30 year range panel; most important is the condition with no significant rust. Shipping to the USA is also a concern due to the largish size of the panel in question. He has asked me to try and help source one. If anyone has what I/we are looking for it would be appreciated if you could please let me know.
  5. Also digging the "home made" splash tray. Geez if you are going to go to that level find an original one and pay the money!
  6. How much better would it look with the overriders. Interesting result on this one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-205/
  7. Hi I haven't heard back from the USA yet. Please phone Greg on 0438834985. He will more than likely have multiple ones. Hope this helps you out.
  8. The car in question is a USA Spec LHD being converted into a RHD. I have been offered a 260-Z pedal box but Im not sure if this will work. Anyone out there know please? Thanks for the help.
  9. Hi. Thanks for the reply. He doesnt require the early style with the bracket for the hand throttle cable. I am not 100% sure of the reason for needing it to tell you the truth; he is buying it for a friend of his over in the USA whom I dont know.
  10. Greetings. I have a friend in the USA who is in need of a RHD 240-Z pedal box. If anyone has one they would like to sell please let me know. Thanks.
  11. Hi Nick thanks for providing the photos. I have it on my car aswell which hasnt been painted on the inside; ie it is original paint. I wouldnt bother with Albrecht von Goertz.
  12. The matt black round the door apertures is hand painted? (original?) how about under the 1/4 panel windows. That is not original. It should all be body colour. Beg to differ on this one. I believe that the poster is referring to the inner sill panel under where the carpet/inner black scuff plate is. I have seen hand painted black matt paint in this area as original.
  13. Not a Zed but well worth a view in my opinion. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1968-toyota-2000gt-2/

  15. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-183/ Looks half decent.
  16. Look at the jack and the (removed) seatbelts in #778. Seatbelts are the same as the USA specification. I was once advised that our cars received them and were removed by dealerships prior to sale as they didnt comply with Australian safety requirements of the day. Jack looks the same as the original in my 1969 model B10.
  17. Nice looking 1973 240-Z on BAT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-157/

  19. https://sydneynewstoday.com/ford-falcon-gtho-phase-iii-sets-auction-record/54858/ Mentions the 260-Z at $116k.
  20. Just a quick note to let everyone know that the new edition of Unique Cars Magazine, Issue #445, features a Datsun 240-Z "Restoration" article. Also features a Toyota 2000GT. Im not affiliated with Unique Cars Magazine in anyway, just wanted to let all members know. Would be interesting to see if the owner of the car in the article is a member here, or if any members know of the car.
