24 Dat Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 Looks like Tuesday the 19th was the first 1/2 of the build, the second 1/2 is Tuesday the 26th at 6.30pm Quote
RAP260 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I see this recently got sold. Would like to see the build, but not worth buying foxtel just for that Rob Quote

PZG302 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 That's pretty old, I saw that build on Discovery Asia about 6 months ago. Not real fussed on the build, nor many American builds to be honest. Compared to Australian builds the body work is done by slapping bog over the whole car and then sanding back to shape. My charger only has a small skin of bog around the replacement sunroof panel. And mechanically, they just throw a catalogue at the car for all the bits. I know the market is huge there, and there are plenty of custom shop doing good work, but I think Australian restorers shit on what the American shops do from a great height. Even Lurch's work isn't too dodgy...... hmd, gav240z and andyk_79 3 Quote
hmd Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I found Fast and Loud is a high gloss production, a lot of scripted dramas and light on technical details. Quote
PZG302 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Even the shows that go into a bit more technical detail show the standard body work steps are to get it rough enough with the panel beating, then cover the whole car in bog and sand back all the bog that doesn't look like a car. When you see a car that has been restored the 'murican way, and from what are reputed to be the top shops, it can be quite eye opening when you compare it to quality restoration work done here. Quote
