Hi!

Having a look around for some new rims/wheels for my S30 build and i'm interested to know what width people are running on their front rims and how you would rate the handling/turning performance of your setup?

To give a bit of context I've been warned by a few people that in their experience going 7 and above is fine if you're hurtling down in a straight line but becomes pretty heavy in everyday/city driving conditions.

Other than wanting the best out of my build I asking mainly because I've seen quite a lot of S30 setups here running all the way up to 9's on the front.

thanks for the info!

Hi,

I'm running 8's on the front. Very heavy when turning at an intersection, but I actually like that. Forget turning with the palm of one hand... Lol.

But with that said, feels great once your going. I like the heavier feel when on the highway.

Should note, I'm running a 14 inch steering wheel.

Cheers,

Rob

Hi

I have 15X8's all round on the bus. The steering is not exactly light, but is a long way from being a problem.

Feels great once you are moving.

A good wheel alignment and correct tyre pressures can make a big difference tomsteering feel and weight.

Cheers

So if I'm thinking of going

16 x 7.5 +6 on the front

And 16 x 8.5 + 10 on the back

Is there anything glaringly obvious about this choice that would lead to troubles with fitment/performance down the track?

You dont have power steering in your 240/260Z?there are some on this site, that found the need for power steering,,,,

I found the need.....would rate as nearly the best part of the car

Wow! That’s a big call considering the level of your car. Lots of awesome parts ????

I honestly do not have a problem with the original steering.
