JDM-TOY Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Hi Guys I been looking at a few Z car parts suppliers on the internet for a full grommet and plug kit but all I can find are individual parts and not a whole kit. Would anyone know if there is a supplier who supplies the whole kit for the S30Z?? Would rather purchase the whole kit than chase suppliers for parts and wait on delivery. Cheers Youhan Quote
George Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Not a full kit but check http://www.240zrubberparts.com/for the harder to find items that he is reproducing. JDM-TOY 1 Quote
KatoKid Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Had the same problem. It's hard to produce a "kit" as there were subtle changes through model years. Best to measure each hole diameters and order individually. I went to pick a part trying to match up sizes but gave up after 2 hours. MSA had everything....but not cheap. Quote

CBR Jeff Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Youhan you can still get them from Nissan. If the parts guy is helpful and has time it’s achievable. Like many parts most were universally across several models. Jeff JDM-TOY 1 Quote

HomeBuiltByJeff Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 (edited) I found the best way to get grommets is just to buy a kit like this on ebay. Much cheaper than buying specific items from a manufacturer, unless you are going for concours type resto, that is how I would go. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NDI-250PCS-RUBBER-GROMMET-ASSORTMENT-FASTENER-KIT-PROTECTIVE-RING-ND-0901/252022519627?epid=9006148848&hash=item3aadb6774b:g:FFgAAOSwu4BVn2QG Edited January 27, 2018 by HomeBuiltByJeff JDM-TOY 1 Quote

I wish rare spares did a complete grommet and weather strip kit, would have been good Quote

I wish rare spares did a complete grommet and weather strip kit, would have been good I went through the grommet thing with the 911. Porsche parts are even more crazy than Z parts so if there is an alternative, I am there. In this case you get a whole box of grommets, for probably what a single factory one will cost.
