Hey guys,

I'm 16 years old, and looking to buy my first car and was looking for a 260Z 2+2 or a 1600.

- My budget, max 12k

- The car is to be original as to pass for p plater status in NSW

- Reasonable body (doesn't have to be perfect)

- Preferably with rego, and located in NSW, but can travel for the right car

- Manual transmission

- Complete, running car, no projects

If I missed something, please feel free to comment.

Hayden.

All Datsuns are too much work for a first car!

Dad is right, don't listen to him.

I didn't lol...(well mum really).

It's going to be hard to find an "honest" S30Z for 12k that meets your criteria.

By this stage most are projects. If you buy a 45+ year old car you're going to have to be willing to work on it or have deep pockets for repair work.

But that's half the fun and how most of us here got started. Of course these cars were a lot cheaper 10-15-20 years ago.

I think 1600's are a bit cheaper. But even so getting harder to find. I've never owned 1 though so hard to compare. A couple of members here might be able to chime in though!

Last registered in 2007, this was a one owner car before being purchased by myself 2 years ago. It now runs and is driveable. It's a 5 speed manual, has the R200 differential and is a matching numbers build. Like all Datsun's of this age, no doubt it's been around the clock, it has a few issues and I'm only selling due to the purchase of another Datsun!!! The plates do not go with the car, inspections welcome and sold as is.
